Before you read further, I just wanna let you know that this chapter contains some medical related information and the source is obviously google, as I'm not that much deep in the medical field yet so cut me some slack if there is anything wrong with the info below.

"it's not time for regrets Ma-ri, we need to do something to wake him up first, that's the only way we can escape together easily."

Ma-ri, on hearing that, tried her best to control her tears and stood up in an instant making all others look at her in surprise.

"Lay him flat on the floor."Ma-ri muttered.

"What?"all three of them present there asked in unison.

"Lay him flat on the floor, it's as simple as that guys."Ma-ri tried to stay calm but it definitely sounded as if she were frustrated.

Not knowing what else to say, jaehyun came forward and lay taesan's unconscious body flat on the floor.

"Raise his feet up from the floor."Ma-ri spoke earning a wtf look from the others.

"Ma-ri, have you lost your mind or something?"jaehyun asked looking visibly concerned.

"Can you do what I'm saying please, we really don't have much time."she begged this time.

"Okay ig."
Jaehyun did what she asked for.

Few minutes passed by but there was still no movement in taesan's body. It was worrying them to the core.

"I don't think it's gonna help, let's just think of something el..."
Leehan's words were cut off as the sudden sound of shuffling could be heard from near them.
All of them looked at each other and then around them only to find taesan slowly trying to move his body. Their faces lit up with joy at the sight Infront of them.
But, Ma-ri was quick enough to think of the first aid, they needed to follow after he gain consciousness. She rushed towards him and stopped him from struggling to get up.

"You need to stay still for sometime, you shouldn't sit up immediately."she said holding him down.

After a few seconds she looked around and said in a tone that was barely audible,
"Leehan-ah, do you by any chance have any candy or something sweet."

Leehan was confused but nodded anyway.
Ma-ri grabbed the gummies from leehan's hand that he had just took out of his pocket and tried to feed some to taesan when she was sure of him being completely conscious.

As soon as his blood sugar level started going back to normal Ma-ri let him sit up from the floor.
He still wasn't fully aware of his surroundings but Ma-ri's first aid definitely helped them a little bit.

"Taesan-ah, how are you feeling now?"asked Ma-ri, she was genuinely concerned.

Taesan opened his mouth to speak but it felt like words were struck in his throat. Not a single word came out of his mouth due to the dryness he felt in his throat.
Understanding the situation, Ma-ri patted his back to assure him and smiled a bit.

"Let's leave from here, now that taesan is up."she muttered still smiling looking at taesan.
Taesan's heart fluttered seeing that smile he missed for years but he was still not completely in his senses, so he himself just flashed a weak smile as if a sign to let them know that he was fine.

"Let's go."leehan said coming forward to support him in standing up.

But luck wasn't on their side that day too....
Just when he was about to take a step forward, a voice from not so far away startled them,

"Enough drama kids..."
It was him, his voice made them stop on their track.
Ma-ri felt her heart stopped beating for a second, it felt like her whole world turned upside down just at the distant voice of the man, she was ashamed to call her father now.

"What did I say about interacting with that useless crush of yours,  daughter..."Yoon asked in a mocking tone.
His voice started sounding more and more clear every passing second.

"How can you even think about escaping from me this easily?"this time he laughed maniacally afterwards.

None among them dared to move. It felt like they were numb and couldn't move their bodies at all.

"Let's get this over with, shall we?"he said still in a mocking way.
He took out his gun, smiling menacingly, and pointed it on taesan's head....
