Callisto: What a great show you just showed us.

Me: Pardon?

Callisto: Where did you learn to weild that sword like that?

Me: Does it matter?

Callisto: It does.

Me: .... I learned it by watching my brothers train... I had a lot of time in the Eckhart mansion and I got bored easily.

Callisto: Then show me what you can do?

Me: Huh?

Callisto: I will be your sparing partner.

What he said didn't make any sense. Especially none after what I showed. I was skilled but I was not that strong. I might know some methods to deflect and make the sword point in a specific direction but by no means was this body able to withstand a full blow. Thankfully I was quite agile and fast on the other hand which is what I used to even out the odds.

Me: I don't think that is a good idea.

Callisto: Scared?

Me: No....

I really couldn't do much so I sighed and then readied myself before I started dashing towards Callisto. Of course I had my sword ready to attack but for the very first move I ran straight at the man and in the last second, I dodged and went to the side to attack. Only a very skilled swordmanship master could deflect something like that. These ordinary soldiers were no match but Callisto should and as I thought he got it right.

Too bad that I had him right where I wanted to and started to dodge, deflect and redirect his sword each time he went for an attack. My goal was not to overpower him but in fact to get behind him or get the sword flying out of his hands. The first option would work if I would get him by surprise but I doubted that I could get the man by suprise after he saw what I could do. So the only other option was that I could do was actually get behind him.

Callisto: You are quite good.

Me: Thanks likewise.

Callisto: I know what you are planning but that won't work.

Me: Oh what am I planning?

Callisto: You want to throw me offguard.

Me: Maybe... and maybe not!

It was right there. It was an opening which would cost me a cut but nothing too serious. Surely it would hurt but that was about it. Maybe it would even give me a scar but I was taking in that consequence as I went to put my sword around his neck. It seemed as if he realized it as well and threw his sword out of his hand while putting both his hands up.

Callisto: You win.

Me: ... why did you do that?

Callisto: I would have hurt you.

Me: And?

Callisto: It would have given you a scar for sure.

Me: And? I don't see the point. I was ready and prepared for it.

Callisto: You... you would really go so far?

Me: Yes. We were after all doing a practice fight. Injuries are normal in these kind of scenarios or am I wrong?

Callisto: *sigh*

I really didn't see the problem here but it seemed as if we were done for the day. He did let me win in the end which I thought was a bit unfair. Well anyways, we were back in his room and were waiting for our food to arrive. It took a bit for the servants to put everything on the table but once it was put down, I noticed something wrong.

This smell....

Something is not right here....

I am sure that this tea shouldn't smell like that.

Though I am not an expert when it comes to teas at all...

Me: Callisto?

Callisto: What now?

Me: I thought you don't like sweets.

Callisto: I don't.

Me: Then why are you about to drink something sweet?

It was just something I noticed earlier yesterday. He never touched deserts or anything like that but let people bring some into the room so I could enjoy them.

Callisto: How did you- PENELOPE!

A tea which was served to us both... and I was soo dumb and didn't think that the whole tea was touched... how could I be that stupid. I already had drunken some tea which is why I knew that this tea was really sweet. The fraguence was also very sweet and it was really good but when I drank it, I felt something bitter in the aftertaste.

When Callisto screamed my name, I looked at him and still hadn't realize that I was actually dripping some blood down from the corner of my mouth. It started burning and soon I started coughing as well.

Callisto: GUARDS!

That was the last thing I heard but I would never forget his distrassful face at all.

Me: Sorry.....
