When my eyes fall on the moon the only person comes to my mind is only him..

He is the only reason i stare at the moon differently or effectively or maybe something else.~~~~~~

Rushing to college without prep, but essentials were in check – headphones in a bag, ready to tune out the world.

As I hurried, one foot on the floor, the other struggling to find its way into my shoe, my phone wouldn't stop ringing. In a chaotic dance, I juggled my phone and shoes.

"Ow!" I yelped as my little toe collided with the shoe rack.

I answered the call, wincing in pain.

"Hey, I'm at the bus station. Where are you?" I asked.

Jihyo's stern voice cut through the line. "Cut the small talk, Y/n. Get your butt in front of me in 5 minutes."

I chuckled. "Yes, my lady. Your wish is my command."

Jihyo shot back, "Don't test my patience. See you soon."

I grinned, still rubbing my sore toe. "Looking forward to it, Drill Sergeant Jihyo."

Jihyo and Y/n had been inseparable best friends since elementary school. Jihyo, the class firecracker, was always bursting with energy, while Y/n was a quiet introvert who preferred observing from the sidelines.

"Woke up late," Y/n whispered, her doe eyes cast downward.

Jihyo rolled her eyes good-naturedly. "Same old story, Y/n! We've been running late all week. And yesterday? Epic. Our grand entrance, courtesy of our beloved class teacher, earned us rockstar status. The whole class cheered, clapped, and whistled. I'm still on high."

Y/n's cheeks flushed as she recalled the embarrassing moment. "And the principal's words? 'Ladies, you're making a habit of this. Keep it up, and you'll be the star of our next school assembly.' Thanks to you, Jihyo, I'm destined for another lecture."

Jihyo grinned, already striding onto the bus. "Hey, someone's gotta keep things interesting! Come on, Y/n, let's make our usual fashionably-late entrance."

Y/n hesitated, preferring to blend into the background, but Jihyo 's infectious energy drew her in. She followed Jihyo onto the bus, her introverted nature sheltered by her friend's vibrant personality.

*Reached the college*

As usual, Jihyo and Y/n were running late. They stood outside their classroom, hesitant to enter without the teacher's permission. Jihyo's concern wasn't just about being punctual; she valued her self-respect and dreaded another scolding from their teacher.

However, she couldn't bring herself to blame Y/n. Jihyo knew her best friend struggled with insomnia, a relentless sleep disorder. The traumatic incident last week still lingered, and Y/n's fragile state made Jihyo protective.

*Flashback*

Y/n resided alone in a grand, palace-like house, surrounded by servants and maids, but devoid of family warmth. Her father, Lee Hyuk, a successful businessman, lived in London with his wife, visiting Korea only once a week to spend weekends with his daughter.

Y/n's father, driven by his motto "an alone person can do anything," aimed to prepare her for life's challenges and consequences. Despite her affluent upbringing, he insisted she maintain independence.

"No privileges, no exceptions," he'd say.

Y/n studied in Korea, pursuing her father's interests, but with strict guidelines:
