"You are my everything, my reason for being"

Y/n 's pov:
I rushed into my house, expecting to find an empty living room. But instead, I was surprised to see my father sitting on the chair, looking stern and worried. Jihyo, my best friend, was sitting next to him, looking concerned.
"Y/N, where have you been?" my father asked, his voice firm but concerned.
I hesitated, unsure of what to say. I knew I was in trouble, but I didn't know how much trouble.
"I...I was just out with a friend," I stammered.
My father's expression turned skeptical. "A friend?" he repeated. "I know all about your friends, Y/N. And I know you didn't go to college today. Or yesterday, for that matter."
I felt a surge of panic. How did he know? I thought I had been careful.
"How did you...?" I started to ask, but my father cut me off.
"I've had someone keeping an eye on you, Y/N," he said. "Someone who's been watching you and reporting back to me."
I felt a wave of shock. "What? Who?" I asked.
My father's expression turned unyielding. "You're letting me down, Y/N. I thought I could trust you to make good choices, but it seems like I was wrong."
I felt a pang of guilt and regret. I knew I had let my father down, and I wanted to make it right.
"I'm sorry, Dad," I said, trying to apologize.
My father's expression softened slightly, but his voice was still firm. "I need to see a change in your behavior, Y/N. I need to see you taking your education seriously and making good choices."
I stood in front of my father, my head bowed in shame. He had just finished scolding me, and I felt like I had been torn apart.
"You're extremely lucky to have such a privileged life, Y/N," he said, his voice stern. "But with that privilege comes responsibility. And right now, you're not living up to that. You're throwing away your future and your education for some foolish infatuation."
Jihyo was standing beside my father, her eyes filled with concern. She had been sitting in the living room with him when I came home, and I knew she had heard the whole conversation.
I felt a sting from my father's words, and tears began to well up in my eyes. I tried to hold them back, but it was no use. I started crying, feeling a mix of shame and sadness.
My father's expression softened slightly, but his voice was still firm. "I expect more from you, Y/N. I expect you to focus on your studies and make something of yourself. Don't waste your time on frivolous things."
Jihyo took a step forward, her eyes locked on mine. "Y/N, I'm here for you," she said softly. "We'll get through this together."
I nodded, still crying, and my father turned to leave. But as he reached the door, he turned back to me.
"Remember, Y/N. I'm watching you. And if you don't shape up, there will be consequences."
As soon as my father left the room, Jihyo rushed over to me and wrapped her arms around me. "I'm so sorry, Y/N," she said, holding me close. "I know how hard this must be for you".
As Jihyo held me, I felt a wave of emotions wash over me. I had been trying to hold it together, but her kindness and concern were too much for me. I burst into tears, sobbing uncontrollably.
