The quest to find the Doctor

The end of something old and the beginning of something new

After a good few moments of the TARDIS being in flight, she eventually lands. Me and Liv look at the doors, admittedly a little scared of what we might be about to face.. Liv breaks the tension by saying "well come on, we can't stay in here all day, we need to rescue the doctor" I smile as a response to her words and slowly walk towards the doors, opening them to see the familiar but distant vista of Gallifrey. "Oh, wow.." I look around the planet as I step out of the TARDIS as does Liv...

As we step out into the doors I bring out the sonic to try and scan for stuff but suddenly it's shot by a laser in my hand "what the?!" I quickly grab Liv and we hide behind the TARDIS, unsure of who or what fired that shot "what the hell was that??" Liv asks me as I slowly peek around the side to see what it was, to my surprise I see a division operative, she shouts to us from afar "come on out from behind the TARDIS! hands up!" and so me and Liv do as she says, coming out from our cover and moving towards the woman.

She looks at me prominently and promptly asks "who are you?" to which I simply respond "I'm the doctor, and you?" and as I say this she looks at me with utter bewilderment "what? but we captured the doctor!" and so in her moment of confusion and vulnerability I grab the gun out of her hands and throw it to the floor "strictly speaking the doctor you captured is from another universe, and we've come to rescue her. Now, I'd appreciate it if you naffed off back to the citadel and let us get on with our rescue mission, alrighty?" to my surprise she does just that, leaving the gun behind and trudging back to the citadel of the time lords. Me and Liv look at each other and burst out laughing before I say "wow, she wasn't very tough was she?" and Liv just laughs some more before I pick up the gun and hand it to her "obviously please don't use it, but we can use that to make us look more intimidating, now hang on" I pop back into the TARDIS and get her to make me another sonic, "oh lovely, thanks dear" I smile and put it in my pocket before heading back out and locking the TARDIS doors, "right, shall we go rescue the other doctor?" I ask Liv as she just nods as a response before we begin to walk to the time lord citadel...

We walk through the streets of the citadel, time lords looking at us with confusion and pompousness as we walk straight to the high council.. Upon getting there we quickly take charge and I'm face to face with Tecteun herself, obviously here to make sure the doctor is tracked down. I look at her with fury as Liv threatens the council members making them leave "hello Tecteun.." she looks at me with a bit of confusion "you're the doctor aren't you? at least in this universe" I find myself too disgusted to say anything in return and so we instead just hack the recent records of prisoners taken in and find where they're keeping the doctor and her TARDIS. Tecteun notices our plan and promptly says "it won't work.." but I just ignore her and together with Liv, head down to the lower levels of the high council building and find her prison cell..

As we get there I say to Liv "keep a lookout, we don't know what they have down here to try and stop us" and I quickly set to fiddling with wires, we can see the doctor inside the cell but she's in some sort of induced sleep state. I manage to unlock the cell but we can't wake her up, annoyingly some division troops start moving in, Liv stuns a couple with the gun but they keep shooting at us, I pull Liv inside the cell and use the sonic to close it back up "well that was a bit daft wasn't it?" she says to me a little peeved off. In response I just say "no, that was me keeping you alive, now hang on... I'm gonna try and do something clever" I fiddle with a panel in the wall and plug my TARDIS key into it, thankfully the plan works and my TARDIS materialises inside the cell and I quickly make her take off back to the fields of gallifrey where they won't find us..

Inside the TARDIS, me and Liv look at the doctor on the floor unconscious, I look around for some smelling salts to wake her up and thankfully find some, putting them under her nose and she quickly wakes up, "sontarans perverting the course of human history!" she exclaims as she comes to and I hold her gently "T-Taylor?" she asks as she looks at me again after so long "sort of, I'm the doctor now..." I smile and hug her slightly "you have no idea how long we spent trying to rescue you." She looks around, trying to work out what happened, to cut the tension I ask her "so uh, where's your TARDIS?" she just looks at me unsure "I don't know... they sent it somewhere isolated, ah! But I can use your telepathic controls, do you mind?" she asks as she gets up quickly, somehow full of energy suddenly. "No not at all" I say as she sticks her hands into them and thinks of her TARDIS, my own taking off once again, seemingly to where hers is..

Pretty soon mine lands and we all stand outside mine, her TARDIS is just over some bushes by a big tree, she smiles and turns round to look at me before hugging me tightly "thank you so so so much doctor for finding me and helping me get back to my TARDIS!" I smile warmly at her words and embrace the hug "you're welcome, doctor" I smile again and she pulls away from the hug. I feel myself tear up a bit as she hugs Liv as well and thanks her before walking off to her own TARDIS, waving at us before stepping inside and vanishing into thin air. I stand there for a good moment, just staring at where her TARDIS was, unsure of what to say as I feel Liv walk up to me and put her hand in mine "we helped her and got her home.. this universe has its doctor and he's you" she says with a smile as she looks at me, I turn my head to look at her and smile back "yeah, I suppose so..." we then walk back into my TARDIS....

Inside the TARDIS I just stand at the controls as Liv sits in the chair scrolling through her phone before putting it in her pocket and walking over to me and saying "so, what now?" I look at her with a smirk "what do you say to more adventures? we can have a nice trip around the seven galaxies and be back home in time for tea" I say gleefully. She just smiles in response and lets out an affirmative "yeah" and so once again I smile and pull down the lever... that mystical sound filling the air as we fly off into the distant stars, ending up who knows where....

writers note: so, that was the end of all the rescuing the doctor shenanigans, but don't think it's the end of everything! no there is much more to come, future stories will be more similar to the actual show in terms of structure so look forward to more me and Liv, more missy, and possibly even the likes of the daleks and the cybermen... stay tuned everyone
