Sophie POV:
I looked up from the photo and faced him. "In the picture, why are your parents moving?"
He paled. Like looked as pale as a corpse pale.
"I- It's from a picture." He said, "the quality of cameras are so good now."
I knew he was lying. He was a very bad lier. I wanted to read his mind right now, but I'm pretty sure he knew that I figured out he was lying.
He sighed, "I'm not human."
I felt like I should tell him that I'm an elf. After the picture I already knew that something was off.
"Let me properly introduce myself. My name is Harry Potter, I'm 13 years old, one of the most powerful wizards in the world, and-"
"You are going to a school called Hogwarts next week, where you learn witchcraft and wizardry." I finished, cutting him off.
If he was something different from the world then I should tell him that I am too.
He looked at me with his jaw dropped. "How did you..."
I smiled at his reaction "Let me introduce myself. My name is Sophie Foster. I'm an elf, and the most powerful one in existence."
He stared at me and burst out laughing. I knew how he thought about all this, because I had the same reaction.
I had to prove it to him.
"Who is Ron and Hermione?" I asked him.
His laughter died down. "How'd you know that?"
"I read your mind." I replied simply.
He sighed. "Do it again. What am I thinking?"
I entered his mind. It was soft and quiet. "You think there is no way I'm doing this right now. And that Dudley is a pig."
His face burned. "Woah- so this is why your the most powerful elf?"
"Well... not exactly." I replied. "I have more than one ability. That's why I'm so 'special'."
I rolled my eyes when I said the word 'special'. I hated that term so much. It made me sound like I'm so important but being the Moonlark, I guess I am.
Harry seemed to understand the tone of when I said being special.
"I get it." He said "I survived a spell that has killed everyone that has been hit by it. Now everyone thinks that I am special and that everything that happens revolves around me or is my fault." He lifted up his bangs to show a scar in the shape of a lightning bolt.
I nearly gasped, but nodded in understanding.
Suddenly the door opened, and a bony woman with blond hair walked in, followed by a big man with no neck and a large mustache. Dudley trailed behind them.
"I'm Petunia, Harry's aunt, and Dudley's mom." The blond woman said "This is Vernon, Harry's uncle. We are your adoptive parents."
I nodded, not trying to look at Dudley who was in a daze looking at me.
"Were going to eat dinner. Harry start cooking dinner." Petunia demanded.
Harry nodded, but didn't look to happy about it.
"Dudley will show you where your temporary bedroom will be." She said.
Dudley ran up to me and hooked his arm through mine. I only enjoyed when Keefe did that. He guided me around the house. He stopped in front of a cabinet under the stairs.
"What is this?" I asked.
He turned slightly pink, "This is where you are temporarily staying. Only temporary. Harry will move back here once he goes off to school. Enjoy!"
He walked away, leaving me with my new 'room'.
I opened the door, to find a very small closet. There was no space to walk, only a small bed that took up the entire floor. There was a little lightbulb that hang from the ceiling, and a tiny vent/gate on the door, providing me with a small view of the inside of the house. On the counters were mini action figures, and books.
I couldn't believe Harry lived here for years. This was awful.
"Sophie." Vernon called. "Dinner is ready."
I groaned.
Human food. Meat. Yuck!
I got up and went to the kitchen, where Harry was serving food.
I sighed. This ought to be good.
