This book is dedicated to my ex boyfriend. Who sucks. Thinks he's god gift. That astrology is stupid. That is why I wrote this book initially. To piss you off.

Welcome to my book Astrology. In this book, I will discuss all the things you ever wanted to know about the topic. This will save the time that it instead takes to search through Horoscope.com and Astrology.com to find out what you need to know about the topic rather than spending 3 months trying to analyze every sun and moon combination or trying to figure out whether you and your SO are astrologically compatible. And if you need a report to tell you if he's the one... honey he is not the one. At least, not yet. Not until you get to know the person for who they really are.

If I'm being honest with you, I hate this book. I hate the time and effort I put into this. I was seeing a Capricorn at the time, who was using me and had no concern for my wellbeing. He thought this was stupid. Well, the truth is, what is stupid is putting all the investment into being the kind of person the other person wants you to be. Whether it's not drinking, being more sexual but not too much, of being religious.

I hate this book is because it's my most popular one. I've written a lot of books about greek gods, witches, time travel, vampires, and love. Tons that have never made past 400 reads.

Please give my stuff a chance y'all, I'm bored! Even if you hate it. Give it a bad review on Goodreads... something! I was mad at the girl who reviewed Somewhere but I'm more so glad she gave my book any time at all.

So do not take what an astrological compatibility report or analysis says as a format to your budding relationship with a SO. In fact, put this book down if that's what you care about, because I care about you and you don't deserve to read a book like that. God knows a lot of this book is from a hopeless romantic Cancer with a Virgo moon analyzing on whether or not she's enough anyway.

Let's assume then for purpose's sake that Astrology is a pseudoscience. Ah, there is the skeptic's sigh of relief. "Oh, yeah... I finally knew it." I do not acknowledge Astrology as 100% factual simply because we don't have the tools to measure the proof that those born in July will make good homemakers or those born under the sign of Pisces will become the aspiring artist or mystic.

However, any topic of study in my book is always worth exploring that you have an interest in as long as it doesn't hurt anybody and doesn't cause a religious war.

Astrology can be so interesting because it teaches us about personality in ways that other studies can't. It can make us or break us, depending on whether we agree with our astrological sign or not. And it can give us the encouragement to be successful in seeking out in life what gives us meaning- regardless of the duties and loyalties we must give to the higher institutions that control our lives.

So for the purposes of being a self-diagnosed INFP (whole other topic: See Myers Briggs), I will discuss Astrology as if everything is literally true. I hope not to offend- only to educate.

I will be discussing the Western Zodiac, moon signs as well as planets in the signs, and astrological compatibility. Some use eastern or Chinese, but a common thread is that if this in your culture that those are the traits you pick up. A fan of this book, my friend Rahil in India, said this book taught him a lot about his friends. It encouraged him to get out of his shell. You know the actor Shah Rukh Kahn? That's pretty much him, but the younger version. I'm probably way too experienced to be with him (believe me I've thought about it, he will be pretty sexy.) However, he exhibits a lot of Libra traits. In America, he would be a Taurus, but he's not cause he's essentially from India and that's his culture.

Western Astrology had its beginning in the Mesopotamia. The gods were based off of every planet including the 13th one - the mysterious planet x. All were believed to have personality. Because the Mesopotamian believed we were invented from these gods from outer space (aka aliens), they determined that the month we were born in would mean of some special relationship between us and that god. It was from them that the drawings of the zodiac were made. Mesopotamian gods went on to be adopted as the Greek gods and even spread over to Hinduism's beliefs of the gods and where they came from. Many stories of the Bible such as the flood (which is much more expanded on before) as well as the battle against "sin" originated from Mesopotamia.

In an effort to curtail to paganism, which was still very much accepted in Rome during St. Augustine's time, the practice of Astrology was continued. With the expansion of the church, however, the concept of reincarnation was eradicated from the Bible and soothsayers / philosophers were seen as sinful + channeling demons. Over time, many pagan practices such as Samhain have been modified and forgotten into Halloween.

All of humanity's religions connect in Mesopotamia. So does the zodiac, but because of politics, people have shut themselves off to knowledge that is ready of them. Of time travel, of dimensions, of reincarnation, and soulmates. All this stuff is true.

Many of the signs have their place in Roman mythology.

People disagree on the dates. If you are on the cusp and feel more like a Sagittarius than a Capricorn, you probably have some moon sign combination that makes you feel that way. Sometimes I feel more like a Pisces than a Cancer / Virgo Moon. Just be what you want!

Some people find that they do not identify with their sun sign. This is usually because of a conflicting moon sign. As I've stated above, this is really important. If you're not looking at your whole chart and really studying it, it doesn't matter how many tumblr list zodiac posts you read.
