Team player? I'm too smart for them. They don't D̶e̶s̶e̶r̶v̶e̶ me.
Rule: Don't be a downer. Cheer.
Noah Sterecra was called a know-it-all around camp. He'd heard it too much that it never bothered him, instead it made him proud. Who needs muscles when you have brains he'd always tell people.
Noah wasn't very popular but he had made some friends amongst the other contestants and that was fine by him.
His team was in the middle of a challenge when they had all told him to stop reading and support them or at least step in and help. Noah rolled his eyes and set the book down, giving a drawled out "Go team, go. Show them whatever it is that we kick ass, rara." His team had rolled there eyes and ignored him, fully intent on voting him off if they lost.
Surprise Surprise, his team had infact lost and they all gave him glares while loudly discussing his soon to be departure from the island. Noah didn't care, he sighed and got up, heading back to the cabins.
While everyone else was talking or playing stupid games till the campfire ceremony, Noah sat on the steps to his cabin, reading his book, ignoring the world around him happily. That is until a shadow cast down on him. He looked up annoyed, ready to chew out Owen for bothering him again, but was met with a blacked out figure.
Noah raised an eyebrow, "Can I help you, or do you purposefully just block people for fun?" He droned out, expecting Duncan or Izzy to say something, seeing as they liked to go around creeping people out. The figure didn't speak, instead handing Noah a note and walking off.
Noah quizzically opened the note, reading that Chris had made a library in the woods for Noah and any other camper to peacefully go there and read. Noah's eyes lit up and he wasted no time in standing up and heading into the forest, following the path giddily. He happened upon a broken down shed and groaned. It would make sense this was the library knowing Chris.
He opened the door, and stepped inside quickly. He looked around, confused by the lack of books, his eyes rising as he saw blood stained tools. He stepped back, feeling for the handle of the door, instead being met with a sharp prick. "What the-" Noah had started saying before his body collapsed the needle he pricked himself with falling besides his body.
The unknown figure stepped forward from the corner, smiling as it picked up Noah's body, placing it on his 'project' table.
Noah felt the bright lights of the room but couldn't see. He tried to reach up and feel his eyes, but his arms wouldn't budge. He opened his mouth to speak but was cut off.
"Oh Noah, I've noticed your lack of team spirit, it's disheartening. So I stepped in to help." The unknown figure spoke, a slight happy tune in its voice.
Noah was alarmed, he tried twisting his body to no avail. He could feel his body, it was moving, but he wasn't doing it. He was scared.
"I've taken the liberty of making you the perfect cheerleader for your team." The figure chuckled. At that moment, the curtains opened and Noah heard the gasps of his friends and fellow contestants as his body began moving, as if jumping and waving. His voice could be heard cheering but he wasn't speaking.
Noah's new audience started crying, he could hear some throwing up as his body continued moving of its own volition. Bloodied tears started streaming down his cheeks, he didn't want this.
When the curtains had opened, those in the viewing area were met with a puppeteered Noah on the stage, his body jumping and cheering for his team to kick ass. His eyeless face stained with blood and his carved smile faltering softly but never going away. The hooks pierced through every joint in his body making him the perfect cheerleader, able to do any and all moves required.
Owen and Cody couldn't watch anymore as they rushed the stage, cutting the strings pulling at Noah's body. As he fell with a thud he could hear the sobbing of his friends next to him. How he wished he could comfort them and thank them, he couldn't move or speak.
Owen and Cody were soon pulled away, their blood soaked hands and clothes being a constant reminder of their friends end.
Noah tried to call out to them, beg them to come back, but he couldn't. He could hear the chuckle of the unknown figure in his ears. "Cheer."
