How could she do this to me? We were supposed to be friends. You can't trust anyone, but you c̶a̶n̶ ̶t̶r̶u̶s̶t̶ ̶m̶e̶.

Rule: Trust no one.

Katie Uratu had been ever so excited upon being accepted for the new reality show, and even more ecstatic that her best friend in the whole wide world Sadie had also been accepted.

They had packed all of their stuff together so they could become the powerful duo of the camp. They had always been on the same wave length; fashion, food, adventures. They were always together. Katie had always viewed Sadie as a sister to her.

Arriving to camp together, they both introduced themselves, the smile never leaving Katie's face. They had even begged and pestered Chris till they were on the same team as each other. Things were working in their favor and they couldn't be happier.

That is till the challenge they were given was to camp away from camp. Katie and Sadie had been behind their team when they spotted some berries. Without a word, just a small glance, they had both stopped to eat the little fruit they had found.

It wasn't till all the berries had been eaten that they realized they were no longer amongst their group, instead left alone in an unfamiliar area. Katie smiled and turned to Sadie, "It's okay, we'll catch up to them, let's go!" Sadie nodded and stood up, allowing her friend to lead the way.

Without a map or knowledge of the forest, they had wound up on the wrong path, walking in circles. Sadie had grown irritated at the fact they were lost, blaming Katie, Katie also upset and tired turned and blamed Sadie. This small mistake had turned into a full blown argument with both girls yelling at each other.

"I wish I had never met you! Or agreed to be your friend! I should have auditioned solo so I could have a better chance in the competition than by working with you!" Sadie had screamed as she stomped off.

Katie fell to her knees as tears had started to fall. Sadie had never said anything so vile to her before, and it hurt her. If they could get out of the forest, Katie and Sadie would have to have a talk.

Katie looked to her left and realized they were near a river, if Sadie had stayed a few more minutes they could have followed the river to their group together, but now Katie had to do it alone.

She stood up and composed herself, taking a step forward, but being pulled back. Katie raised an eyebrow and turned around, a dark, ominous figure now being in place of the nothing that was there before.

Katie shrieked, stumbling backwards as the figure looked down on her. "I saw what happened with your friend, perhaps I could help assist?" Its deep gravely voice broke the silence.

Katie shivered, her whole body violently shaking in fear. She started to scream Sadie's name, begging for her to come back. The figure did not like this, kicking the poor teenager in her side, leaving Katie to fall to her side in pain.

The figure stood above her again. "Friends don't leave friends behind. That's why I'm going to help." The figure took a needle from its pocket, making quick work to inject it into Katie's neck as she screamed again. Her eyes fluttered shut as the figure picked her up.

As Katie's eyes began to open, she saw nothing but darkness. She softly called out, hoping she was having a nightmare. She heard Sadie's voice, beckoning her, urging her to move forward. "Katie, I'm your best friend, don't you trust me?" Sadie's voice said.

"Katie I'm sorry for everything I said earlier, but I need you to walk forward please.. I'm stuck!" Sadie's voice called again, a bit more urgent.

Katie couldn't help but cry as she stepped forward. "Sadie I've missed you. Why did you leave me!"

"Trust me Katie you're almost to me, just two more steps!" The voice sounded weird. As if someone were trying to mimic Sadie. Katie had taken the two extra steps when she stopped.

"You aren't Sadie." By then two hands had pushed her, the sound of wind flying past her as the ground fell from her feet. She screamed. She cried. She cursed everyone for leaving her alone.

The figure sat a top the cliff, watching the helpless teen fall, a sick smile playing being there mask. "You're right, I'm not Sadie, you shouldn't trust so blinding, little one."

As the morning sun rose, both teams had set about returning to camp. Sadie now adorned with the rest of her team felt off. She shouldn't have left Katie. It didn't matter much as a strangled gasp escaped Courtney's lips, followed by Bridgette's cries.

Sadie looked forward and gasped, tears pooling in her eyes as she screamed. In front of the group laid Katie's cold body. She had been pierced by the sticks and rocks that had been at the bottom of the cliff. Her head split open and dried blood pooled around.

During the night her still barely living corpse had been visited by a few bears and wolves, helping themselves to her body as a buffet. Her head and bitten body laid still, the dried tears staining her paled skin and her full eyes trained on the river beside her.

Sadie looked around and realized it was where she and Katie had fought and she doubled over puking as she cried.

Katie. Her best friend. The only person she had ever fully trusted now gone from her life. Sadie slowly walked up to her body but realized their friendship bracelet was no longer in her wrist. She looked around confused seeing a note on the tree she had kicked.

She trembled as she drew closer and numbly took the note. 'She trusted you Sadie, so much so she died with you as her last thought.' Beside the note was the bloodied bracelet with 'best friend' scratched out, the back now of the heart now claiming 'traitor'.

Sadie dropped the bracelet and dropped to her knees mumbling to herself as her team came over to her. Courtney had picked up the note and gasped while the others asked what Sadie was saying.

"I killed her... I killed her... I killed her."
