an enchanting love story

chapter 1: a magical kiss

(hugo's pov)

it was the day of the ice show. amber and clio had just finished their routine and it me and sofia were up next. ever since my first recital, me and sofia had always been partners.

 I turned to look at sofia and saw her face shining with excitement. she looked absolutely breathtaking. she was wearing a stunning outfit and her hair had been done in a half up half done way.

 soon, miss flora announced are names and we skated on to the ice. the next 2 minutes were a blur of flips and spins. sofia had just come down from a flip when she stumbled. i quickly caught her in what looked like a dip.

 the audience didn't think that anything was wrong and that it was all part of the routine. and then we kissed. it was short and soft, but a kiss nonetheless. once we parted i quickly brought her back up and we took our bows. 

we got off the ice to our friends bombarding us with questions. i sighed. this was going to be fun.

(sofia's pov)

I couldn't believe it. We kissed! Hugo and I actually kissed! I have liked him for some time now but I didn't want to say anything that could ruin our friendship. But he actually like me! A smile grew on my face when I noticed Hugo guiding me on the ice with his hand. But it quickly turned into a frown when I saw our friends. This was going to be fun.

 We hadn't been off the ice for two minutes and everyone was bombarding us with questions and congratulations. "Want to get out of here?" Hugo said into my ear. I nodded. He grabbed my hand and quickly ran through an opening in the crowd. 

Everyone was so caught up in talking that no one noticed we were gone until we were a few steps away. We quickly raced into an empty clearing that only had one bench. We took a seat and looked at each other. Then we burst out laughing. 

" did you see amber's expression when she saw we had left?" I said through my laughter. Hugo nodded. A few moments later a comfortable silence settled in the clearing. And Hugo said the one thing I had been hoping for. 

"I like you Sofia. A lot" Hugo admitted. " I do too" I replied. And then we were kissing again. It was soft at first but grew to be more passionate. I felt Hugo's arms wrap around my waist tightly and pull me closer to him. I placed my arms around his neck and kissed h back with as much passion and enthusiasm as I could muster. I didn't want it to end. But, of course, we had to pull apart for air.

 Once we had both recovered I realized something. " we have to tell our parents, don't we?" I asked. Hugo groaned. " we do" Hugo agreed. "We better get back. People will be wondering where we went" I said sadly. I didn't want to leave Hugo. " if we must" he replied. 

He intertwined his fingers with mine and got up. I got up too and looked at him confused. Wouldn't people know we were together if we showed up like this? Hugo seemed to read my thoughts because he said " they are going to find out either way" I shrugged. I didn't really care as long as I was with Hugo. With a deep breath we both exited the clearing and went to go meet our parents
