*Storyline and characters all belong to J.K. Rowling and the magical world of Harry Potter; only a select few characters are mine.... which I will indicate in authors notes and prefacing chapters. I have created the main character Alden Noel and a lot of her interactions with other characters such as Snape, etc. I have stuck to mostly parts from The Goblet of Fire so far but also have included excerpts from some of the other books/ movies as well. For example, McGonagall's sorting speech from Sorcerers Stone* This story is just for fun. I also have gained inspirations from reading other authors brilliant fan fictions. All rights and credits go to the people they belong to/were inspired from. Apart from my creations of a few characters/storylines. *

**I might be a little out of order having the TriWizard Tournament announced so early... but this is how I wanted the timeline of events to go. And Halloween is my FAVORITE holiday so I had to include it**

*This story is rated MA*

Alden's POV:

I tossed and turned in the bed; dreams plaguing my sleep. I awoke suddenly; dim rainy-day light flooding into the window. The man that was seated next to my bedside stood up abruptly upon noticing me being awake. "Miss Noel?! How are you feeling?" I recognized his voice without having to even turn my head, Professor Snape. There was concern in his voice, something I had only heard slight hints of before. But this time his voice was fully laced with concern. "Besides the fact I feel like I got hit by the Hogwarts Express, just peachy Professor." I replied looking up to meet his chocolate eyes. "My whole body is so sore..." I trailed off just now realizing how much my body actually did hurt.

"Let me have Madame Pomfrey to get you something for the pain." He spoke softly, something else mixed with the concern but I couldn't quite place my finger on what it was. He reappeared with a small vial. "Here, drink this." He reached out his hand holding the uncapped vial and once again our hands brushed briefly. I got the same feeling as before; shivers and warmth all at once. I gulped it down; relief from the pain instantly washed over my body. I sat up a little bit. "Professor? What day is it?

"The 31st of October." Halloween. Back in America; Halloween was my favorite holiday. I loved the chance for me to be someone I wasn't and escape my life. "Sir, do you think I will be able to make it for the feast tonight?! Halloween is my favorite holiday.." Snape let out an almost inaudible chuckle. Snape? Laughing..? Did hell freeze over while I was asleep?!?

"I don't see why not, Miss Noel." came another voice I recognized a few feet away, Dumbledore. "I heard our patient was awake... so I came to check on you!" He came and stood next to Snape. "As long as you're feeling well, I don't see why you can't dress up and join the festivities.

Great! Except now I only had a few hours to put together a costume...

Snape's POV:

"Is it wise to let the girl out of bed so soon Albus?" my voice trailed, looking at the now empty hospital bed where Miss Noel once lied. "I can tell your concerned for her Severus, but let the girl have some fun. She was just asleep for 3 days!"

"No, not concerned;  I just don't want her fainting again on my watch..." I said through my teeth. "I can tell you're lying Severus..." Dumbledore said his eyes shining. "It's okay that you're concerned." he added and walked out of the hospital wing.
