"Mom did you wash my cheer outfit ?" Felix yelled as he rushed down the stairs "yes! check the laundry room" his mother replied from the kitchen.
"Felix ! When are you going to start being more organized ?" His mother scolded as she made her morning coffee. Felix rolled his eyes in secret "I know I know.. organized. Ok got it" he replied as he grabbed his water from the fridge. "Oh mom ! the first football game of the season is this Friday are you coming ?" he said, handing his mother the flyer, this will be the year Felix is going to be Co- captain something he was excited for, because what it really meant was he would be next in line for CAPTAIN."Wouldn't miss it for the world ! Oh and I meant to ask you where were you and Channie last night ?"
Felix didn't need to lie but his mother asking him did make him panic a little, "oh um we just went out with some friends ... why ?" He asked hesitatingly.
his mother looked at him and just went back to her morning routine "well your boyfriend must have called me 6 times asking me where you were, I didn't know so I lied and said you were asleep"
Felix began to grow annoyed, "he actually called you !" He asked with irritation in his voice. His mother nodded her head as she took a sip from her mug, Felix's mother wasn't all too involved in her sons relationship but it was clear to her the blonde didn't want to discuss it further.Felix and Chan gathered their things and bid farewell to their mom and dad, "Have a great day" she shouted as they closed the door. Felix walked out, clearly angry at something "dam.. what happened to you ?" Chan asked, Felix just rolled his eyes and walked to the car, yanking the passenger door open. Chan got in the drivers seat looking at his brother sulk "lix... I know you don't like talking about your feelings but you can't let it fester all day"
he said, Felix looked out the window, in hopes this action will signal his older brother to stop asking.
Chan stayed silent for a second, he couldn't force the boy to speak "I'm sorry ... last night i accidentally left my phone here and he called mom yesterday like 6 times...asking where i was at" he sighed.
Chan rolled his eyes "are you kidding ? Lix I know I'm just the older brother and my advice might not seem like the best but he's completely draining you.. I see it everyday ! He won't let you breathe" Chan exclaimed. Felix took a deep breath "I know .. I know .. we should get going, we're going to be late"
Chan drove off without a second thought.AT SCHOOL
"All I'm saying, is if he wanted to he would !" Han exclaimed as he stuck his books into his locker, "yeah but I think there is lots of pride between them" Innie replied, leaning against the locker.
"Hey you two, talking about your love lives again" Changbin interrupted, "No you fool, were talking about love Island" Han snarled. The two would tease each other from time to time but they were like brothers at the end of the day. "Oh there's Lix and Channie" Innie exclaimed as he walked up the two, the rest of the group following right behind.
The group greeted each other, talked for a while and when the bell rang, parted ways.Felix began walking to his art class in his usual route, "baby ! Wait up" he heard a voice behind him, he swiftly turned to see none other then his boyfriend running to him. "I'm going to be late to class" - "I wanted to see you before class but I guess the feeling isn't mutual" his boyfriend said sarcastically, Felix tried to just walk away.. he didn't have time nor the patience for this. "Wait ! Are you really mad at me ?" He asked. Felix's silence said it all, "baby look I'm so-" "LOOK SAVE IT ! You ALWAYS apologize and nothing ever changes ! I forgot my phone okay ! I wasn't OUT cheating or MESSING AROUND!"
"Babe I was worried -"
"So YOU CALL MY MOM ! I told you where I was going" Felix yelled in an aggravated tone. The silence between the two only thickened "Gentlemen, is there a reason we're in the hallway and not in class" A random teacher said as she passed by. Felix looked at his boyfriend and then turned to go to class, leaving him with no response. The blonde made his way towards the art building, he was grateful he had art right now. Other then cheer, Drawing was one of his favorite things to do, he loved getting lost in a sketch and at the moment he needed nothing more then to get lost in his art.
He entered the class room and to his relief, they had a substitute which meant it was a "chill" day.
All heads turned to watch him enter the classroom but he ignored them and walked to his desk.
It was clear the substitute could care less about teaching, way too invested in her game of candy crush, Felix took the opportunity to get back to his sketch he was working on last time.
Like always he would be fully immersed and then get distracted, looking at his classmates and their antics, art was only fun when their regular teacher was here.He scanned the room trying to find something interesting to stare at and per usual the only thing remotely interesting and not because it was actually intriguing but more like "out of the ordinary" was the boy with the black hood. "He's so odd" Felix thought to himself, doesn't say a word, doesn't interact or move. Just sits there like a statue.
The constant assumptions the blonde made in his head about him varied from "was he quiet because he's actually a killer" or "maybe he was bullied"
the thing about Hyunjin was you could never actually figure him out, it was up in the air about the type of person he was, what his voice sounded like, does he have siblings ? Friends ? Does he have a girlfriend ?. Felix couldn't get a read on him no matter how hard he tried, and it wasn't because he wanted to intrude on the boys life but a part of him felt sorry for the boy in black. High school was a time to meet friends and make your best core memories and people like Hyunjin were missing out on so much fun. Well that's at least what Felix thought.Class went on per usual, everyone did their own thing, played around, fell asleep. The first bell rung meaning only 5 minutes till class was over, Felix gathered his things and for some reason he hated wearing a back pack. He had a locker so he didn't need to carry everything with him, which is why he would always have a notebook and textbook in hand.
* BELL RING *
The blonde got up and walked towards the door which was already swarmed with students trying to leave, the door frame being crowded with 40+ kids all trying to push through at the same time. Felix being petite did not help, he felt bodies pushed up against him and people stepping on his shoes.
He should have just waited the three minutes for it to die down before even attempting to do this.
He got pushed so hard that he was losing his balance but Suddenly an arm snaked around his waist, he felt the large hand grab onto his cheer outfit and like a natural instinct he grabbed on to the arm and held it. Who's arm it was he had no clue but at least he wasn't face down getting trampled by other kids, he looked up quickly to see none other then the black hood that's almost engraved in his memory.
There he was the long haired, quiet boy who usually is out the door first holding on to the cheerleader with all his might. He was .... Warm ... and smelled good, his arm being wrapped around the youngers small waist made the blonde feel ... safe.
Felix felt the sudden breath of fresh air as he exited the classroom, wow was that an experience, he thought as he swiftly turned to the boy who was still standing behind him. "You can let go of my arm now" he whispered, Felix was confused at the statement until it hit him that he in fact was still holding the boys arm. "Oh my gosh ! I'm so sorry !" He said as he released the firm grip, the boy didn't give him a sign of "it's okay" or "no problem" but instead walked off as if nothing happened. Felix was dumb founded, as if time froze and everyone around him was moving. Watching the boy as he turned the corner."Felix !"
