I lied about the 'not looking forward to the wedding' part.

Because I'm hyped for it.

It's been a year since he proposed to me, and things have changed.

A lot.

Chen has started opening up to me once more, but since I was engaged, he stayed in his lane and continued seeing me as a friend.

The rest of the EXO members wouldn't even talk to me as a friend without Jongin's permission. But, of course, Jongin didn't give a crap if they talked to me.

Jongin and Kiyoung are still in love, however. Even though he's engaged to me, the two of them are still 'dating'. It's not a relationship though, it's more of a "I'm going to flirt and go on dates with my crush without dating him/her."

Oh, and I turned 17 just a couple months ago.

It was one of the scariest moments of my life.

Getting older is not something I want to succeed in life. It seems hard and tiring. So much responsibilities. But, I mean, that's life right?

The birthday party was smaller, since I didn't want it to be so big.

It was just family and very close friends.

Of course, I invited Jongin's family over to my parents' house for the party, and, to be honest, it was something I didn't regret.

His parents and two older sisters are very fun to hang around with, and his sisters, what should I call them?

Fan-girls.

Even though they're hilarious and are interesting to be around with, they are in love with Shinhwa.

In fact, it's what they talk about 50% of the time.

They even own nudes of Shinhwa.

Gross, right?

Overall, his sisters are still mature for their age and live as adults while they are secretly fan-girls.

Let's talk about what's happening right now.

Right this instant, Jongin and I are having lunch together at the cafeteria in the SM building, since we cannot go out to eat.

A.k.a. Crazy fans stalking their idols in public.

"Oh, let's check what we still need to do." I dropped the fork down and went through my bag to find a small notebook, which contained all the notes and facts about the wedding.

I flipped the notebook open to the page that had a checklist on it;

✔Find a wedding hall.
❏Entertainment.
✔Food.
✔Reception.
❏Chronological order of events for wedding.
❏Buy a wedding dress and tuxedo.
❏Order cakes.
❏Write and send invitations.
❏Take wedding photos.

Jongin also took out his checklist, which he always had in the inside of his jacket.

His checklist consisted more of who was getting invited and the bridesmaids and groomsmen were.

"This is stressful." I grunted as I tilted my head back onto the seat.

"All you have to do is literally start writing invitations and find entertainment. It's not that hard." He looked at the way I was sitting, obviously disturbed.

I sat back up and pointed at his checklist.

"How can I begin to write invitations when you're not even close to being done with who we're inviting to the wedding."

He put his chin onto of his knuckles and stared down at the checklist of people.

"I'm literally almost done. I just need to figure out who is going to be the bridesmaid. I was thinking about having f(x) and Jessica doing it, but I might think you want some of SNSD to do it." He explained, taking his chin off his knuckles and relaxing in the chair.

I stared at him like he was an idiot or something.

"Of course I want f(x) to be my bridesmaid. Oh, and don't make Jessica a bridesmaid. Make her my maid of honor." I pointed at the piece of paper, encouraging him to write it down.

"Okay." He pulled a pen out of his coat pocket and took some notes.

"Also, our parents are going to arrange the wedding itself. All we have to do is worry about our guests and ourselves." I continued to eat the salad that I was eating.

"Okay, done." He put the pen and notes back into his coat pocket.

I chewed and swallowed my food before I replied to him.

"...You can go do whatever you need to. I'll put your dirty plates away." I said with food in my mouth.

He got out of his chair and looked at me.

"Don't talk with food in your mouth. Anyways, I'll see you later." He flashed a small smile and patted me on the shoulder before leaving for his activities.

That's the part I don't understand.

Even though he obviously is still in love with Kiyoung, he treats me like a human now.

Like, ??¿¿.

Literally a year ago, he hated my guys. Didn't even want to look at me. But now? He's treating me like some friend.

Thanks to me opening up to him again.

At first, I took small steps by initiating small conversations before I took medium steps by giving him hugs and stuff like that.

And there's no way on earth I'm going to take 'big steps', if you know what I mean.

I quickly gobbled up my lunch and put our dirty plates into the huge plastic container which was meant for holding dirty dishes.

My engagement ring slipped off my finger and fell right into the dirty stacks of plates and bowls.

"Oh my God." I muttered in English under my breath as I pulled my shirt up a little higher.

"I can't believe I'm doing this." I swore as I just shoved my hand into the pile of dirty dishes and tried to find my ring.

My fingers scanned the bottom of the container for a few seconds before I finally found and scooped out the ring.

It was covered in ranch and who knows what.

I almost barfed just looking at the food-covered ring.

Oh, and my hand...

It looked like it was a dirty dish washing machine.

"Krystal, what are you doing?" A guy's voice asked behind me.

I spun around with the ring still in my hand.

Sim Changmin of TVXQ.

"Oh, hello. I dropped my ring into the dirty dishes and had to search for it." I said, embarrassingly.

He chuckled a bit and set his dirty bowl of soup into the pile.

"I'm guessing the ring is too big for you or your fingers are just too slim." He patted me on the shoulder before leaving me befuddled.

What was that for?

That was unnecessary.

But it doesn't matter to me.

Changmin was just being nice, right?

He wasn't doing anything wrong.

Plus, Jongin doesn't even care. So, why should I?
