Chapter: 3

My friends told me to enjoy this opportunity of working with 'Ian Evans- A person that any girl would want in her life!
But I'm not among those girls.
I was indeed stunned to see how good he looks in person but I need a man to get attracted to! Not a charming boy!

*All I want is to impress him with my work as if I succeed, he will offer me more such projects*

Ian began delivering his speech and explaining the attributes of his new products.
He was presenting his shoes in a very splendid way that anyone would want to buy them.
He was flexing the goodwill of his brand and the market value of his products.
He was telling every single detail about the new products and how his previously launched best-sellers provided a remarkable response from the customers.

I was standing next to Samuel, wishing everything to be perfectly done and listening to Ian's speech.

Ian was delivering the speech very confidently and diligently.
His presentation was so intriguing that I thought of purchasing shoes for myself.
I laid my eyes on some of the shoes made for ladies and I just wanted them to be in my collection!
"Just imagine Amish, your collection of vermogen shoes!"
"Wait a minute....vermogen?"
"No, it's Vermögen!"
*Just how pathetic I am!*
*I'm planning to buy something from a brand, whose name is even difficult for my tongue to pronounce!*

Ian's brand name is, Vermögen which means 'wealth' in German.
Even the pronunciation of his brand is very difficult, its name starts with the letter 'V' but its actual pronunciation starts with the letter, 'F'. Something like, 'Faamuga'.

*Don't get discouraged, Amish. Work so hard and earn a lot of money and then you'll be able to buy it in your next life!*

"He's pretty good!" Samuel looked at me...

My mind was busy with 'vermogen', 'faamuga' but I somehow managed to reply to him, "Yeah, he is!"

*Gosh, he must not question someone this randomly !*

He smiled at me and then he said, "You too did pretty well! I'm impressed with your work!"

"I'm glad you like it!"

I was so happy knowing that Samuel liked my work and now... my work, getting praised by Ian is all I hope!"

"May I ask you something?"
I asked Samuel.

"Yeah, what is it?" he replied politely.

"Did Ian sir say something about my work?" I hesitantly asked him.

"he didn't say anything to me yet!" he replied smiling...

"Ohhh!" I sighed.

"Don't worry, he would have noticed your hard work, Ms. Amish, I'm sure of it!" he said while listening to Ian...

"Thanks!" I replied...

Ian finished his presentation.
The hall echoed with a round of applause, Ian looked at Smauel and shot him a warm victorious smile!

He stepped off the stage and asked the guard about the refreshment.
The guard looked at me with pleading eyes as if he was asking me to come and rescue him from his question!

I waved at the refreshment team and they began distributing them among the attendees.

"And now I have to go and accompany him!" Samuel said with a soft smile...

"Yeah, sure!"

He smiled and said, "I'm telling you in advance, just make sure that when Nicky ma'am arrives, you must not shake hands with her!"

"She doesn't shake hands with people, she doesn't like to be touched!" he added...

"Thank you so much, sir!
You saved me from getting embarrassed!"

"No problem! " he smiled and left...

Nicky is Ian's co-model!
She is extremely beautiful and has a queen-like personality!
She is the highest-paid model in Chicago.
Ian is so good-looking that he doesn't need to appoint any male model to represent his products, so Ian is always the model for his products for men and he always appoints Nicky as a model for women's products.
It's been 5 years and he never replaced Nicky with anyone.

Ian and Nicky did so many commercial videos together, that people ship them so much.
They have been a rumored couple for so long and the fact that none of them corrected anything is making it a reality.
Ian takes his pride so seriously and if he didn't say anything regarding this, it means it's true!

*But I must take Nicky seriously, I have to take care of her too!*

I immediately rushed outside to look for a girl named, Hannah. I appointed her as in charge of everything regarding Nicky.
"Is everything ready?"
I asked approaching her...

She replied, "Yes, Ma'am!"

"What about the hair stylist, makeup artist, and dress stylist, Are they all set?"

"Don't worry, they are all ready to roll on my command!" she replied showing me them standing at their places by pointing a finger at them...

I showed them a thumps-up,
They did the same!

"Good, make sure that nothing goes south when intended north!" I said to Hannah...

I was talking to her, meanwhile, Ian came outside the hall with Samuel and three people who came with Ian...

"Who are those men?"Hannah asked...

"Don't know, maybe his family..."

I was telling Hannah not to shake hands with Nicky and then a car approached the entrance and stopped...

"Must be her!" I said looking at Ian, he looked at the car and began walking towards it...

"Now I have to go and welcome her, best of luck Hannah!"

"Thanks, ma'am, leave it on me!"

I reached the car and stood next to the guards...
Ian too approached the car with Samuel and stood in front of the gate.
The gate opened, and a head popped out, It was her!
Nicky Dewis - the supermodel!

She was immensely beautiful!
*One can't take eyes off her, I mean who would not get frozen looking at her?*

She was wearing a black colored bodycon dress!  White studs on her ears and white chain on her neck, black glossy heels, and a classy bag in her hand!
I was admiring her and then Ian came in front and offered his hand to her...
My inner voice screamed, *No sir, she doesn't like to be touched!*
But wait!
She elegantly gave her hand to Ian with a very soft smile...
Ian helped her come out of the car!
She waved at everyone standing next to Ian...
My brain was still processing why she gave her hand to him...and then Samuel whispered to me," Except Ian sir!"

"Oh, I see!" I whispered back...

*It means it's true that they are dating.* My mind concluded!
