My parents started celebrating because Ian made a statement in favor of me! He even suggested big companies to hire me.
I was happy and shocked at the same time.
The part of the article where he praised me was the only part where he wrote something in favor of someone whereas the the whole article was all about him bashing many people, calling them unprofessional and cheap!
Even the hotel staff and hotel manager weren't spared!
For the manager, he wrote, "The manager was nice but why discuss someone's hobbies when the very important event was about to begin!"
"He should have maintained his dignity as hotel manager by talking less and talking sense!"

"I don't understand! Why the manager? He was generous, he even pulled a chair for me!" I murmured...

"My daughter, you did well!" my mother pulled me in a hug.

"Bring your friends home, We will celebrate today!" Father said patting my head.

The thought that I was there and didn't notice anything that was written against the people in the article wasn't leaving my mind!

My father read the paragraph which was for me out loud, "The director wasn't on time therefore our shoot started late, and the decoration team also messed up. But thanks to our adroit project manager, Ms.Amish Hazel, who not only handled such situations but also managed everything smoothly! Her work and ideas met my expectations and the most engrossing thing about her I would like to mention is that it was her first project without any prior experience yet she did a splendid job! I'm impressed and looking forward to working with her on more projects!
Big Companies should hire such fresh talent and let her spread her wings more!"

"Look our daughter is rocking!"
"Look our daughter is rocking!"
My father showed his happiness to the extent that I smiled and said, "PARTY!" in a yodeling tone!

"Explain yourself!" Aaron asked in a tone like he was asking me to confess my crime.

"I too don't have any idea!"

"You stated, Ian isn't like how people tell!" he said laughing...

"He is! But..."

"See, If you ask me, I don't care how he is! I'm only concerned about how he is to you! And I'm here to celebrate your achievement girl!" He said while waving to the waiter.

*I know, he's laughing at me!
Gosh, I can recall my confident face stating that Ian was kind and generous last night!* I was thinking while slurping Cappuccino!

"Oh, I'm not laughing at you!" he said chuckling...

"How do-" my voice cracked

"-I know?" he smiled

"Oh Come on Amish, we have been friends since our school time! If not me who else would know what you think in your small head!" he slurped his coffee...

"Carol? Who's been friends with you since your college!"
"Cindy? Who you find lost in a shopping mall crying when you were in the first year of college!"
He chuckled...

"Yeah, Yeah...You're my oldest buddy!"

"But you put Carol before me!" he said in a complaining tone.

I just kept slurping my coffee!

He continued," Poor me, who came running at your one-call, taking a day off from my office!"

"Your sandwiches, sir and ma'am!" waiter served our food.

"How dramatic you're, I called only you to the cafe, to spend time with you only, and look at you complaining!" I said smiling while having a bite of my sandwich!

"It's my right!"

"Whatever!"

We both laughed!

"And about Ian, don't worry! Just make sure to work harder next time so that you can maintain his perspective of you!" he asserted...

"Yes, You're right!"

"When are you meeting him?" he asked while chewing.

"Don't know, his manager will call me for my remaining payment!"

"I'll give you a ride!" he said...

"Okay!"

I spent my daytime reading the article again and again and was preparing my mind to face Carol and Cindy!
I was also waiting for them to arrive at my house as Aaron told me he was going to be the driver! So, they were going to come together.

Olly was roaming here and there as she liked our house to be at peace like me.

When my parents invite someone to our house, they become anxious more than me! And all one could hear them screaming is, "Where did you put?"

I could hear their voices downstairs.
"Any Help?" I asked in a loud voice.
"No" they replied!
Olly meowed in a tone I asked them for help.
"No to you too sweetie!" they even replied to Olly.

Olly sat close to my face and started purring,
I dug my face into her fur as she rested her tail on my head!

This is our way to hide!

The bell rang!

"Them!"
Me and Olly came running downstairs.

"Congratulations!" they passed me bouquet!

We all had dinner which my parents prepared, and danced to some songs, My father sang a song for all of us! Olly showed her skills in rotating the ball with her paws!

The celebration went well, and we all enjoyed it!

After seeing off my friends, I came back to my room carrying gift boxes!
Olly helped me carry them by meowing about how heavy they were!

I rubbed my hands in excitement to open them!
I hardly opened the first gift box and my phone rang...

I was getting a call from Samuel.

"Sorry to call you at this hour!" he said as soon as I picked it up.

"No problem!"

"I was busy all day with handling post-event matters!" he said in a polite and tiring tone.

I felt bad for him! And when he said, "Post-event matters" I figured out what he meant!

*It must be hard for him to handle all those calls!*

"Congratulations on your first successful project!" he said...

"Thank you!" I replied politely...

"I called you for our meeting at the company tomorrow!"

"Come at 9 A.M. and meet me, Ms.Amish!"

"Okay!"

Olly started meowing as he was interrupting the gift-opening session according to her!

I shushed her!

"You have a Cat!"

"Yes, Sir!" I replied softly.

"Okay then, Good Night!" he hung up.

I quickly texted Aaron to come by 8 A.M.

"Okay! Will be there on time!" he replied.
