READER'S POV

I was asleep. I am not sure what I dreamt about because I usually just simply forgot. The only thing I remembered clearly was me hitting the bed at 1am after trying to fall asleep for 3 hours straight by rolling on my bed, from one side to the other. It shouldn't have been that big of a problem... IF I wouldn't have to wake up at 7 to meet up with my colleague, or personally one of my greatest friends, Charlotte. Yes indeed we are colleagues. We both work at the Steambird as reporters, however Charlotte was always better than me when it came to looking for the most exclusive news around Fontaine.

A reporter's goal is to keep the readers entertained by trying to provide the most jaw dropping news anyone could ever think of. Like I said, Charlotte always took her job extremely serious. She made like twice as more interviews than me in the past 1 month and she obviously carried the entire newspaper with her hit news. Yeah sure it was always told as "teamwork", but to be honest sometimes I felt like I was only there to write down what people said during interviews. I mean obviously that is also a part of my job, but come on.

Anyways, recently we have been a little bit in the lack of hot news besides the new trials constantly made in the Opera Epiclese, so me and Charlotte decided to do an urgent meetup at the Café Lucerne to hunt for some stuff together and talk things out.

Soon enough, the clock on my nightstand begun to ring in the most annoying tone ever. (I should probably take it to the workshop... that little one needs a few parts... but it's not my fault that it forces me to constantly smash it every morning when I don't want to wake up.) With a quick stretch and a yawn, I forced myself out of my bed and got to my daily routines.

After putting myself together, I put on my jacket and left my home, locking the door and waving to my neighbor, who was an old lady, but she was always pretty sweet towards me ever since I moved in.

...

I reached the café and saw Charlotte sitting at a random table. She already ordered desert??

"Hey there Charlotte! Good morning!"- I waved to her and took a seat at the table with a smile. She immediately smiled back and begun talking in her usual excided tone.

"Y/N! It's so good to see you! Morning! Soo? Did you find anything?"

"What do you mean??" - I asked, looking at her in confusion.

"Did you see anything on your way here?" - She asked with an actual bit of hope in her eyes.

I couldn't believe she just asked me that when I was still half asleep. "Uh no?"

She looked a little doomed but quickly shook her head and returned to her usual expression when the waitress suddenly put our coffees on the table.

"Anyways! I have something which will blow. your. mind! Guess what?"

What could she possibly have found? "What?"

"I met the legendary blond haired traveler on an aquabus yesterday!"

I choked on my drink. Why the heck didn't I know about this?!

"You did WHAT? And why didn't you tell me huh?!"

She giggled. "Well that's because you were out seeking news on your own as well no? I called you here to tell you about it now."

I opened my mouth but shut it after a few seconds when I realized that she does indeed have a point. The girl continued talking.

"I did not have a chance to interview him and his companion properly... but they did give me a few answers about their journey! I heard that they bumped into Lady Furina as well at the port! Think a little! 'The legendary blond traveler in Fontaine'. Jackpot!!!" - She seemed to be in a completely different world now. Meanwhile, I shook my head in disapproval which made her look back at me with a raised eyebrow.
