Reader's POV

Since there were a lot of things going on in my head, I decided to take a walk on Fontaine's noisy streets. Yes, sure, it was raining again, but that did not stop from the people of Fontaine from continuing on with their duties. Most of them had an umbrella with themselves and already got used to the rain anyways.

I myself brought an umbrella with myself this time, however I do have to admit that It took me a while to pick between my actual umbrella, and Lyney's.

In the end, I decided to go with mine, because I did not want to take the risk of ruining Lyney's so early on. Don't get me wrong, of course I'd be careful with it, but there were some cases when I accidentally broke/ruined something before-... So- you probably get my point why I picked my umbrella this time.

As I kept walking down the streets, I realized that the best place I could collect my thoughts at is likely would be outside of the Court of Fontaine. Ever since the article of me got out, I've gotten a lot of stares and things like that. Someone even snapped a photo of me behind my back! Sure, I'm a reporter myself, but I AT LEAST respect people's privacy... for the most part.

So, with that, I decided to continue my calming stroll away from all the people.

When I reached an ideal place, I stopped walking and took a seat on the wet grass. I was right beside the sea, staring at the scenery. I've already mentioned how much I liked the scenery of my hometown, so I figured that doing so would be the best way to get my mind off of things.

My thoughts suddenly went over to tonight's dinner. In the past hour, I've gotten a letter from Lyney which said that he will be waiting for me in front of Debord Hotel at 7pm. I'm glad he picked that place for dinner, since the food in there was top tier.
But besides top tier food, Lyney himself could turn this dinner into a top tier experience.
(A/N: I know what you are.)
I mean, he seemed to be quite the gentleman and I did not know what kind of tricks he could have up his sleeve this time. Quite literally.

"Possible third rose?" - I thought to myself, then let out a small laugh.

Suddenly, something in the water started to approach the ground, which caused me to jump immediately.

Or someone...

I kept a distace between me and the water, but to my surprise, the one who got out of it was a young man, wearing a helmet. You know, the ones what people use for diving.

He eventually took his gear off, revealing his face and short, dirty blond hair.
I stared at him in shock with my umbrella in hand, to which he just stared back at me.

The situation got more and more awkward with every second passing by, so I've decided to break the silence.

"Hi-!"

He replied shortly after with a "Hello."

"Uhm so- Who are you?"

"Sorry, I didn't know you were here. And- my name is Freminet." - The boy seemed rather nervous.

"No worries, I understand. Nice to meet you Freminet."- For some reason, I felt like I've heard that name before...

He then started to observe me like he was looking for something.

"Have we- met before?" - I eventually asked.

He shook his head. "I don't think so. But you also appear to be rather familiar to me."

I sighed. "I mean- If you read the Steambird, then it's likely that you've seen me before."

He started to connect the dots.
