Reader's POV

RING RING

That annoying noise again.

I rolled to the other side of my bed in annoyance and shut off my alarm clock.

7:30AM

Luckily, I did not have to wake up as early as last time when I last met up with Charlotte, but honestly, I felt like there is just no perfect time for me to wake up after yesterday. I Just wanted to sleep as much as I could, but that's usually how I feel.

I stood up and did a quick stretch, then went to look outside my window for a quick moment. The old lady who was my neighbor was currently planting flowers into her garden. This reminded me of something. I looked at a vase on my nightstand with 2 rainbow roses in it which I got from the great magician, Lyney himself.

After about a minute, I snapped out of my daydreaming and went to get ready to meet with Charlotte at Café Lucerne, like last time.

...

When I arrived to our meeting spot, she was already there like she usually was. It always been pretty interesting to me, that she always arrived to our hangouts and meetups so quickly, and yet I can hear her being late to things all the time.

The excited reporter was cleaning her kamera's lens, so she did not notice me taking a seat in front of her unti I spoke:

"Hey there."

Charlotte raised her head and a huge smile appeared on her face as she saw me.

"Good morning Y/N!! How did you sleep??" - She asked with her usual excited exrpession.

"Eh, it was alright. I went to sleep pretty late, but It was still a good sleep."

"Really?? How so?"

"Oh crap."

I couldn't believe that the conversation just started and I am already spilling out things that I shouldn't. I promised Lyney not to say too much about yesterday.

"Uh well... I just couldn't sleep. You know how I usually am."

"But you said it was a good sleep..." - Charlotte looked at me with a concerned look. Man, I was horrible at lying sometimes... Luckily though, she just started to laugh and let it slide.

After a bit of time, I started to notice that something was... off...

I was surprised that Charlotte did not show any sign of being bothered by anything at all, unlike me, who started to scan the area and noticed that way too many people were staring at me from afar.

"What the hell is happening??? Did somebody tell everyone I was helping the twins out in court or what? No, that would be impossible. There is no way anyone around here would know about it this quickly. I'm a reporter myself and I know exactly how much time is needed for some news to spread. There is just... Too many people."

"Y/N?" - Charlotte called out for me which caused me to snap out of my thoughts.

"Sorry, I am just slightly uncomfortable."

The girl raised an eyebrow. "And why..?"

Did she really have no idea?

"People around us"

She still seemed to be quite confused. "Yeah? What about them???"

Are you serious. "Do you seriously not see them staring at me from afar???"

She let out a small "oooh" then smiled. - "I thought you knew!"

My eyes went wide. "What exactly?"

She opened up her bag she was carrying around at the moment, and started to search for something. There sure was a lot of paper in that bag... I also saw her notebook which she basically had with herself everywhere. That's what you need for running after influencers I guess. You can never know when the opportunity shows up.
