I stared at the ticket in absolute shock. My mind was empty for a second, then it begun to rush like a raging wave through the calm sea.
Did I really just got invited to the opera??? JUST LIKE THAT? But why??
"The rose?? What's that about? I mean it's a nice rose, I swear I've seen other magicians use this type of rose as well..."
"Did he watch my entire performance???"
"And did he like it..?"
"Was he mad that the audience paid attention to me?"
"Nah that cannot be. Otherwise he probably wouldn't have given me the rose."
Thoughts like this filled my head. I was unsure if I wanted to go to the opera though. The reason to that is: what if I just make things more awkward..?
"..."
Oh but who cares! It's literally a FREE ticket to probably a very fun magic show! I had enough of doing my job all the time. I deserve a bit of freetime as well no?
After arguing with myself for about 10 minutes I've decided to accept Lyney's unexpected invitation to the magic show. I got pretty excided, because I've never been to something like this before. The only time I've visited the opera was to document the trials happening in there.
Only then I realized that if I am going to a place like that, then I should probably consider getting a better outfit. Maybe something which gives off my energy, but still pretty elegant. I was thinking for a while and then the idea of me telling Charlotte about the invitation popped into my head. Maybe she can tag along as well and help me pick my outfit!
... But at the same time, If I were to tell her about this, then she would probably see nothing ahead of her but the chance to interview Lyney & his sister or some other fancy people there which could get me in a wrong first impression. I mean I did only get ONE ticket. If she does decide to tag along then she would have to pay the tickets for herself which is not a small amount of mora... especially the fact that since Lyney is such a famous magician, maybe a lot of people come to watch him perform and that could mean that there are no seats left for her anymore and that would get her pretty disappointed.
I let out a long sigh. I said a light "sorry Charlotte" in my head to my great friend and decided not to tell her about Lyney and the free ticket.
"Oh archons what a monologue I am gonna get from her when she realizes that I did not tell her about this-..." - I thought, but I chose put my worrying on hold as I turned my attention to my closet to search for something I could possibly wear for tonight's magic show.
...
I was laying on my desk when I slowly opened and rubbed the sleep out of my eyes. "When did I get here-?" I thought for a second and then remembered why exactly I was there. I've decided to read for a while to pass the time until the magic show, but I fell asleep midway thanks to the fact that I was only able to sleep a few hours before me and Charlotte's early morning meetup. But what exactly is the time right-
My eyes widened when I saw the clock. 17:45?! I couldn't believe that I actually managed to sleep for nearly 6 hours straight without even realizing it. I jumped up from my desk and rushed through my clothes to pick out the one(s) that I chose.
(A/N: You can wear anything you'd like, just be fancy~ If you haven't decided already, then here are a few examples which can hopefully inspire your imagination!)
