Later that evening, after Catherine and Henry had informed Kamaria and her attendants of Colin's escape, they quickly began preparing for the festival. Kamaria was assisted into an exquisite white and beige Mendel long-sleeve lace evening gown by her attendants. She paired the gown with cream satin heels adorned with beaded embellishments. Her makeup was understated, highlighted by a touch of white eyeliner, and her brownish-black hair was stylishly set into a bun with pin curls and side bangs.

A delicate white flower graced the side of her hair, positioned just behind her ear, adding an elegant touch to her look. She embraced simplicity with her jewelry, choosing to wear only two rings, one adorning each hand. The sound of Kamaria's heels echoed against the castle's floors as she proceeded outside. Exiting the kingdom, she was welcomed by the brilliant sunshine that bathed the landscape in a warm light.

The fragrance of freshly cut grass and blossoming flowers filled the air. Kamaria's smile widened as she observed the court's residents who had assembled in the beautifully decorated courtyard, where a multitude of children engaged in play.

The warm and joyful atmosphere filled her heart with happiness, and she couldn't resist smiling at the scene unfolding before her. The courtyard stood as a beacon of unity and camaraderie, a testament that even in a realm of royals and nobles, all could gather and revel in joy.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, it bathed the courtyard in a stunning golden hue. Kamaria's dark brown eyes, reminiscent of a doe's, swept over the area in search of her companions. Her smile broadened upon spotting them afar off, engaged in lively conversation and laughter.

Yelena noted the heavy presence of guards stationed around the courtyard by the King and Queen. "Such an array of guards, as if Colin might actually return," she remarked. Kamaria responded with a reassuring touch on Yelena's shoulder.

Kamaria's gaze roamed the yard where games included blindfolding Prince Charles. A cluster of girls vied for his attention, shouting his name as he tried to identify Madeleine's voice among them. The younger girls called out, "Charles!" each one eager to capture his notice. Their calls of "Charles!" resounded, growing louder and more urgent. In contrast, Madeleine's voice was a gentle whisper.

Adara's question pierced the children's commotion, "How can Charles recognize his true love's voice when she speaks so gently?"

"Charles!" Madeleine's voice rose in urgency, now tinged with exasperation.

Adara's attention drifted to the King and Queen ambling in the courtyard, halting on an elegant lady receiving a hand kiss from the King. "Whom is the King speaking to?" she asked.

Zahria cast a brief look at Adara and shrugged indifferently. "The King converses with anyone he wishes; he doesn't rely on the Queen, and his mistress, Diane, is absent."

Kamaria's focus shifted back to the playful children in front of her, her smile widening as their voices joyfully called out Charles' name. The sound whisked her away to the carefree days she spent with Francis during their own childhood. Feeling a presence behind her, Kamaria turned and saw Francis. "Do you remember this game?" she inquired.
