(Y/n) (l/n) lay on the bed in his apartment, the cast on his arm keeping him from moving it to much and keeping him from sitting comfortably. He should be getting it off soon enough since his wound wasn't to bad.

The boy had tried to watch the TV when he had first gotten back but he was no longer able to enjoy the shows that he once liked due to the way he would now react whenever he heard gunshots or screams.

So the boy spent most of his days now just thinking about everything that had happened and how it could have been avoided.

(Y/n) wasn't particularly talented at making friends, but the ones he did have he held more closely to him than anyone else. That was why it hurt so much that his only surviving friend wouldn't answer his calls.

Jessica Cruz had left him to die, that the boy was hurt by but could see himself forgiving. But the fact that she didn't have the decency to answer his calls or call him back? That hurt infinitely more, and it made it harder to forgive her abandonment of him.

He needed someone to talk to, someone to comfort him, someone to comfort, and she was the only person that he had left.

She would be just as dead as their friends, as the killer he had killed, if it weren't for him. So why wouldn't she just answer him?

He had left messages, texts, even emails. She wouldn't even reply with if she was okay or not. All he knew for sure was what the police had told him when they found him, that she was alive and mostly unharmed.

Jessica Cruz had been his best friend since they had been kids but it was starting to feel like he was only now seeing the real her.

(Y/n) stared at the dead body of Sky, the girl who had been first to be killed when he suddenly heard footsteps. He was about to look when the killers looked first and he saw his opening. He quickly lunged at the closest one's legs and tackled him to the ground while grabbing his gun.

The boy screamed in pain as he was shot by the other man, he had quickly turned and before even getting a good look had shot his last bullet into the boys arm.

(Y/n) cried out in pain again and without thinking shot the killer he was on top of in the stomach as he tried to push him off. He then turned the gun on the other killer and shot a few times but missed as he ran away, not in a straight line, into the forest.

(Y/n) took a deep breath as he looked down at his wounded arm and groaned in pain. He quickly looked over to where Jessica had been, only to find she was gone. She must have been the source of the footsteps which had distracted the killers.

"Jess!" The boy called out, hoping she wasn't to far away to hear him. There was no response and he got off the now dead killer, dropping the gun in disgust as he realized what he had just done.

The boys eyes were drawn back to his two dead friends. He quickly made his way over to them, trying his best to ignore the pain in his arm, and begged god for them to have somehow survived. They had not.

(Y/n) was pulled from his thoughts by the sound of his phone ringing. He glanced down at it, hoping ,even though he was starting to hate her, that it was Jessica. It Jess' sister, Sara.

This surprised the boy but he quickly picked up the phone. "Hey" he spoke, sounding a bit disappointed but also curious as to why she had called.

"Not the Cruz you were hoping to hear from?" Sara asked with a sad and apologetic tone.
