Chapter 6

What is that annoying beeping sound? I slowly opened my eyes and I saw my phone in front of my face. Oh! I fell asleep last night without ending the call. That's why my phone is beeping. It's low battery. Actually, it's drained already. So I picked up my charger and charge it.

I washed up, readied myself and ate breakfast. I live in a condo alone. Because it's nearer to my workplace and I'm more at peace. Before, I stay in our family house, but oftentimes I end up fighting with my mother. So I decided to live on my own. It's better for both our sakes. Now, we have a much better relationship, maybe because she seldom sees me. And that limited her from constantly criticizing me. Criticism which started from one simple mistake I've done way back college days... Having a boyfriend who's 3 years younger than me.

I shook my head to keep the bitter memory out of my mind. It's something I don't want to remember anymore. If only I can erase it from my life...

I reached the cafe when my phone beeps. A new message came. It's from Mark.

M: Good morning! Have a nice day, Sam! Thank you for the early morning gift! I'll surely have a wonderful day!

S: Huh? What gift? Are you sure this message is for me? Maybe you sent it to the wrong person. 😃 Anyway, good morning too, Mark! Glad you're okay now. Coz Jackson said you're a little bit down yesterday. Just remember, whenever you need someone to talk to, you can count on me, okay?

M: It's for me to know and you to find out! ㅋㅋㅋ Jinjja? Can I really count on you? Always?

S: Of course! We're friends. And I'm also your number 1 fan! 😋

M: Okay... Number 1 fan, can you please come here? I want to see you right now.

S: Hahaha! Very funny! Wait, I'll get my broomstick and use it to fly over there coz it may never happen again. Who would believe that Mark Tuan is requesting my presence?

M: Ya! Witch, I'm not kidding. I really want to see you, as in right now.

S: Hmm... What is really wrong with you? Do you have a problem? I thought you said you're okay now.

M: Yes, I'm okay. 😃 What makes you think that I'm not? I just want to see you. That's all. How I wish you're here in Korea. I need you to cheer for me on our comeback.

S: Of course! I'm always cheering for you! Even if I'm here in the Philippines, my heart is there with you guys!

M: But after our promotion, during our free time, you promised to visit us, right? You promised! Don't forget that. I'm so excited that I can't wait.

S: Yes. Promise. Late October. I want to see autumn in Nami Island. ☺️

M: Are you really my fan? I said I want to see you, and you said you want to see Nami Island! Ouch! I'm really hurt!

S: Hahaha! Of course it's not just Nami Island. I want to meet Got7 too.

M: Got7? Oh... You want to meet JB of course 😠

S: You know, Mark, you're so cute when you're jealous! I told you, I'll always be your fan. But meeting the whole Got7... well, that's the dream of every ahgase. 😋

M: Okay okay! I need to go now. Need to practice again. Bye!

I just smiled. It's been almost a month since the first time we talked on the phone. Since then we constantly communicate with each other. Over time, we became closer that we're not awkward anymore. I consider him my friend. Even though I'm only a fan and he's an idol, when we talked, it's just like talking to a friend. A very handsome friend!

Got7's comeback came and it's a huge success. The boys continuously promoted. They guested on many variety shows. They even guested on running man. I've waited for so long for that to happen.
