Chapter 7

It's been a week since that incident and from that day up to now I didn't hear anything from Mark. I tried calling him several times but he didn't answer. I tried sending him a message but still no reply. I know that he read my messages but he just wouldn't reply. I don't know what happened. One minute we're okay then suddenly he went cold. Jashik! This is exactly what I'm worried about. Me getting used to him. And when he's gone, I'll be miserable.

"Hey! What's with the gloomy face?" Ivy asked. I didn't notice that she's already standing beside me.

"Bru! You startled me! How long have you been here?"

"Just now. So, what's the problem? Why do you look so sad?"

"It's nothing. What brings you here?" I asked, changing the topic

"Well, I have good news for you that's why I'm here." She said smiling widely. Then she hands me an envelope.

"What's this?" I asked. I opened the envelope and read what's inside. "Oh my God! You already bought us tickets going to Korea!" I exclaimed while reading the itinerary.

"Yeah! We're going now for sure!" She said excitedly.

Then at that moment I remembered... Mark is not talking to me. I suddenly felt sad. Before, I'm sure he'll be very happy to know about it. But now... I don't know.. it seems like he doesn't care anymore. I'm not even sure if I still need to let him know that at last we'll be going to Korea.

"Hey bru, tell me about you and Dave. Lance told me that Dave really likes you. So did he asks you already?" Ivy asked, cutting into my thoughts.

"Yeah. He did."

"And? Gosh! If the two of you become a couple, me and Lance will be very happy!" She said enthusiastically.

"Err... Sorry, I hate to burst your bubble bru, but no, we're not going to be a couple."

"What??? But why? What's wrong with Dave? I think he's perfect for you bru." She said wide eyed, disbelief on her face.

"Nothing's wrong with him, the problem is me. This foolish heart of mine." I said pointing at my heart.

"Then what did Dave say?"

"He said just let him be my friend. He wants to stay by me. But I told him not to expect anything. And he's fine with that. So we decided to be just friends."

"Aww... Dave is so nice! But, really, what's the problem bru? You promised me. You said you're open to having a new relationship."

"It's just that... there's no spark. I don't feel anything. I like him but only as a friend. I don't want to commit the same mistake again, bru. If ever I'll be in a relationship again, I want to make sure that I'm really in love with the guy. Because if not, it will just be a waste of his time and my time as well." I explained. I'm sure she'll understand. She knows about my past relationship. I learned my lesson well from that relationship and I don't want it to happen again.

"I understand, bru. You know, until now, I blame myself for that. If I didn't push you to go out with that guy..."

"It's okay, bru. I just charged it to experience." I smiled. Actually, it doesn't affect me much anymore. Yes, it was a mistake. But I learned from that mistake. It made me stronger and thru that I was able to be what I am today.

"Hay! Anyway, past is past. Let's just forget about it. Let's just look forward to Korea! Yey! I'm so excited! You better prepare all the requirements for the visa application. Then next week, we'll go to the embassy to apply for the visa." Ivy said

"Okay! Then we have to go shopping for some autumn clothes."

"Of course!" Ivy said, smiling widely

Time flies very fast. In just two days we'll be going to Korea already. I'm so excited but at the same time a little bit nervous. What if, we meet Got7 there, how should I react towards Mark? He never contacted me again after that day. So I also didn't tell him about our trip.
