"Hey Eve, I just wanted to let you know that you're always welcome to stay with us if you want," Caden's mother said gently. "We would love for you to come live with us in our new city, and you and Caden could both attend the same school."

"Really?!" Eve asked with her mouth wide open in surprise. "You mean, I can stay with you guys?"

Caden's mom nodded. "Yes, you would be like another daughter to us. We thought you might enjoy staying with us and going to school with Caden."

Eve was speechless. She couldn't believe her ears and she couldn't believe that Caden's family was offering her the chance to start a new life with them.

She thought about it for a few moments before finally saying, "Yes, I'd love to stay with you guys. This sounds like a great opportunity and I really want to be part of the family."

And with that, Eve gave Caden's mother a big hug and said "Thank you so much for inviting me to stay with you." Caden and his mom both smiled at Eve's acceptance.

Then Caden's mom suggested that the four of them go to a clothing store to buy new clothes for Eve and Caden.

She said that since they would be moving to a new city and attending a new school they would need new clothes to fit in with the other students.

She said she would take them to a store that sold clothes appropriate for their age and style. Caden and Eve were excited about the prospect of getting to pick out new clothes and they looked forward to the bonding experience with Caden's family.

They all got into the car and drove to the shopping mall together.

The group entered the mall together and started browsing the clothing stores.

Caden and Eve were excited to be picking out new clothes for their new school and for their new life.

They walked around and picked out a few items that they liked, and then Caden's parents took them to the fitting rooms to try everything on.

Caden's mom helped pick out items that would mesh well with their styles and fit with the school's dress code, and she helped them find shoes and accessories that would complete their outfits.

After trying on the clothes, Caden and Eve were feeling great about the new outfits. They looked fashionable and trendy, and they were excited to show off their new looks at their new school.

The group left the mall with their new purchases in hand and headed back to Caden's house. Caden and Eve were looking forward to their new lives in a new city and at a new school, and they were feeling very grateful for the opportunity Caden's family had provided them.

Caden's dad had prepared a big suitcase to pack the clothes in because he had already booked a plane to leave town that night.

He did this because he knew that the move would be happening very soon, and he wanted to make sure that everything was taken care of as quickly as possible.

Caden and Eve were both excited about the move and excited to start their new lives with Caden's family. They were looking forward to the new experiences they would have and the new memories they would make together.

"I wanted to let you know that everything's ready for you both to move, Eve. I've arranged for you to fly on a plane tonight to our new city." Caden's dad said with a smile to her

"Oh, wow! Are we really going to be moving this fast?"

"It'll be fine, Eve. Don't worry. We'll be moving in with Caden's family, so we won't be alone." Caden said with a chuckle

"I know, it's just... it's all happening so fast."

"Don't worry, Eve. Everything will be fine once we get settled in. We're a bit pressed for time, though, so let's get your suitcases into the car and we'll get you to the airport." Said Caden's dad

"Okay, thanks. I'm just a little bit nervous, that's all."

"Don't worry, Eve..let's go now."

Then the four of them got into the car.

"What the-" Caden's dad turned to look at the rearview mirror to see what was going on, and he saw a man throwing stones at the car.

Eve turned to look back and saw her father outside. He was drunk and throwing stones at the car, trying to break the windows.

Eve's face dropped in surprise and fear, she turned to Caden and said "That's my dad."

"What in the world is going on?"

"He's drunk, please just floor it. We need to get away from here."

Caden's father pressed the gas pedal hard and the car took off. Caden's mother quickly locked the doors and rolled up the windows. The drunk man threw a few more stones at the car before it sped away. Eve and Caden looked at each other in shock and anxiety.

"Sorry..sorry everyone..That..that was my dad. He's drunk and...he's acting crazy. I have no idea what he wants."

"Eve, your dad is throwing rocks at our car because we brought you with us, isn't he?" Caden's mom asked as she hugged her son and Eve.

"I think so...oh my god...what should we do? Are we safe?"

"Dad, can you go faster? We can talk about this later, but right now we need to get away from here."

Caden and Eve looked at each other as the car sped down the road. They both felt anxious and nervous, but they knew they had to get away from Eve's father as quickly as possible.

After a frightening few minutes, the four of them arrived at the airport parking lot, safe and sound. Although the rear window was shattered, the car was otherwise in good condition. Caden's father parked the car in the lot and the four of them got out safely.

"I can't believe that just happened. My heart is racing."

"Mine too,Caden. I never expected my father to do something like that."

"Shh..don't worry, we're all safe now. Let's get inside the airport. Our plane should be leaving soon." Caden's mom said as she lowered her suitcases

The four of them went into the airport and headed straight to their gate. The airport was busy with travelers coming and going, and it was easy to get lost in the crowd.

They made their way to the security checkpoint and passed through with their bags and identification. After they made it through security, they went into the terminal to wait for their flight.

"I can't believe this is happening. I'm moving out of town with you all.. and I'll be going to a new school and living with you guys..i'm so..so love you all...."

"It's okay, Eve, take a deep breath and try to relax. The hardest part is behind us now, and things are going to get a lot easier from here on out. From now on, I promise you and Caden's family will be taking care of you and you won't have to worry about anything. Just relax, and let us handle everything for you."

Caden's mom was smiling at Eve and she knew that Eve was feeling overwhelmed with the sudden change in her life. She tried to reassure her and let her know that everything would be okay.

Eve couldn't believe that her world was turned upside down in the span of a few hours. Just a few hours ago she hadn't even known that Caden or his family existed, and now she was about to move across the country and start a new life with them.

She couldn't believe that the future she had imagined for her life was changed so abruptly. But at the same time, she felt a sense of excitement and adventure as she thought about the new experiences she would have and the new people she would meet.
