Vorialis also participated in the Battle of Burning Lake, as a soldier under Lord Shaxx and Zavala. Three friends of Vorialis's were going to fight in the battle, and Vorialis wanted to protect them. But he wasn't strong enough, and all three of his friends died their final deaths brutally during the battle.

Vorialis watched one of them, named Zephilus Eand, be buried alive under the claws and teeth of a hundred Thralls. Another, Quinn Espo, blew her own arm off with a torrent of white lightning, before dying to a Knight. The third, Lesier Lomor the bladesmith, had written beautiful letters to his lover, and begged Vorialis, as the light left his eyes, to ensure she received them. Lesier was responsible for forging Vorialis's sword, and had fenced with him to teach Vorialis how to use it. Lesier had been a patient teacher, and a good friend. Vorialis would not let his dying wish go unfulfilled. Lesier had not been wearing his Ahamkara Bone-adorned armor during the Battle. Vorialis never found his Bone-adorned armor, and simply assumed Lesier's lover inherited it after Lesier died.
