Joshua parked his car outside Mike's apartment, the familiar building a comforting sight after a long day. He grabbed the six-pack of beer from the passenger seat and made his way to the front door, knocking rhythmically.

Mike answered with a grin. "Hey, man! Right on time. Come on in."

Joshua stepped inside, the aroma of pizza and the sound of music creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. They settled on the couch, cracking open their beers.

"So, how's life at Almira treating you?" Mike asked, taking a sip.

Joshua chuckled. "Busy as ever. But I love it. The students are great, and I'm learning as much from them as they are from me."

Mike leaned back, a mischievous glint in his eye. "And what about outside of work? Any special someone caught your eye yet?"

Joshua laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, come on, Mike. You know I don't have time for that right now. Between teaching, volunteering, and trying to maintain some semblance of a social life, my plate's full."

Mike raised an eyebrow. "Sure, sure. But you can't tell me you haven't met anyone interesting. You're a catch, Josh. There must be someone out there who sees that."

Joshua smiled, though a hint of wistfulness crossed his features. "It's not that I haven't met interesting people. It's just... I haven't felt that spark, you know? Right now, I'm focused on my career and adventures. Love will come when the time is right."

Mike nodded, understanding. "Fair enough. But don't close yourself off completely. You never know when or where you'll meet someone who could change everything."

Joshua clinked his bottle against Mike's. "I'll keep that in mind. But for now, let's focus on more pressing matters – like trivia night domination!"

They laughed, diving into their usual banter. Despite Mike's teasing, Joshua couldn't help but wonder if there was a part of him that was missing out. As much as he loved his current life, maybe Mike had a point. Perhaps, somewhere amidst his hectic schedule, there was room for something more.

Aina wheeled her suitcase through the bustling airport, the overhead announcements blending into a blur of noise. She was on her way to Almira University, eager yet anxious about the new chapter ahead. Just as she was about to check in, her phone buzzed in her pocket.

"Hey, Dad," she answered, a smile spreading across her face.

"Sweetheart! Just wanted to hear your voice before you take off," her father said warmly, the familiar tones bringing a wave of comfort.

"I'm glad you called. I'm feeling a bit nervous," Aina admitted, glancing at the departure board.

"You'll do great, Aina. This is a wonderful opportunity. Remember, if you ever need anything, your mother and I are just a call away," he reassured her.
