Nick had two cars, his convertible jag that he drove most of the time and a BMW that sat in the garage unused. So nick suggested that Charlie use it. Nick still legally owned it and Charlie was technically borrowing it but in reality it was a gift.
Charlie driving around in a verry expensive car immediately raised a lot of questions.
Charlie flatmates had all been told or found out. It was hard to hide a boyfriend you spent nights with from the people you were living with. It was obvious to them that Charlie had a boyfriend and many had worked out that it was nick.
Charlie had to tell Aled before he found out. He had stressed about it for weeks but when he eventually worked up the courage to tell him the word wouldn't come out and Aled ended up interrupting him. "I know you dating my dad."
"Your ok with it?" Charlie was surprised.
"I can see how happy he makes you and how happy you make him." Was all Aled said. Charlie could tell that Aled supported their relationship but it was still weird for both of them. Not something they wanted to talk about a lot.
The rest of Charlies flat were all cautiously supportive. They all cared about him and were open minded. But they were all also worried about the age gap, the financial imbalance and the difference in life experience.
Nick had charmed them all so they weren't concerned about nick taking advantage of Charlie. In many ways it appeared to be the opposite, nick was always buying him things. When Charlie started driving around in an expensive car word got out that his much older boyfriend had bought it for him.
Gossip spread life wildfire, soon everyone was talking about how Charlie spring had a sugar daddy. Charlie was worried that Sonner or later roomers would get back to his parents. At the same time Charlie and nick agreed that their relationship was getting serious and they wanted to tell close friends and family.
So Charlie knew it was time to introduce nick to his parents, so he told them he had a boyfriend called nick and wanted tod arranged to bring him to dinner.
