Sorry

Sorry...
Two words.
Seven letters.
Something so vague
But you know what it means.

I'm Sorry...
For all the pain
All the sadness
The mistakes
All the people I have hurt
For all of the paintings I started and never finished.

I'm sorry...
I blink my last tear
And look into the mirror.
I have been dead for so long
Stuck in the limbo of this ugly world
This world that hates me so
This world that spears me no love

Goodbye...
My eyes close,

No more tears,
For this is a happy moment.
I swallow the pills,
Drag the knife,
Fall into the comfort of the rope around my neck...

And just like that,
I'm gone...

I rise, leaving my body behind.
Mom and Dad come home
They call for me
They find my body
They call 911
Its too late
I'm gone
They cry
The neighbors rush over
They call the friends you didn't think you had
They all cry into the pillows
Into their parents arms

And then there is your little sister...
She came home from soccer practice
Dad tells her the news

She runs upstairs and checks your room
You're gone
She runs into her room and cries into the bear you gave her
You're gone
She opens her drawer of blades
You're gone
Lays her favorite on the dresser
You're gone
You can only now see the scares on her arms
You're gone
She looks in the mirror
You're gone
She blinks her last tear
YOU'RE GONE
1...2...3...
She's gone.

You freeze
And cry once more...
... I'm Sorry...
