Maylee POV
Why is it so much scarier walking through this then before? I feel someone breath on my neck, and I jump a little bit. "You good?" it was Regina.
I put my hand on my chest "I'm good thanks." she rolls her eyes and walks past me. Has we keep walking I have this feeling that someone is watching us. "Hey guys." They turn to me "Something isn't right here." At that an arow flies past me and hits a tree. Everyone gets ready to fight whoever just shot that arow. My heart pumps faster. Pan apers out the forest, they aim at him.
"I would put those down if I was you, unless you want that sweet little Lucy to get hurt." I snap at those words.
"You wouldn't dare Pan." I walk closer to him. He chuckles and give me that smirk that tells you; I don't lie. I stop in my tracks, not wanting to test him right now.
"What do you want Pan?" Henry yells.
"How come all you people say, 'what do you want' instead of what I need?" I roll my eyes at his question. The rest are silent, "Anyways, what I need is a heart-." The group interrupts him.
"Of the truest believer." I laugh at the sarcasm in their voices.
Pan crosses his arms "You guys always suck the fun out of everything. But back to what I was going to say, I need a heart. But not just any heart, I need one from the truest believer."
"Is there any other way?" Henry yells while rising his hand.
"That's it, boys get them!" Pan yells for the boys and walks away back into the forest. Everyone starts to fight but I not me, I have nothing. So, I follow Pan.
I try my best to stay hidden and quit. I hid behind trees and bushes. We end up at a cave, he walks in to and wait a little bit before following just to be safe. When I walk in I just see spiral stairs, when I reach the top I see Pan looking at an hourglass, waiting for me "How'd you know?".
"You're on my island." He says still turned looking at the hourglass that's almost empty up top.
"Pan can you please look at me!" He turns my way looking in my eyes "Now tell me, is there another way?" He looks down "Pan! Is there another way?"
"Yes!" He yells back, silent was in the room before he said; "Yes, there is another way. But it's dangerous love."
"Will you need Lucy for it?" He lets out a sigh.
"Maylee, you don't understand."
"Will you need Lucy?" I ask again.
"No, I won't." I stand my ground.
"Okay then, tell me what you need, and I'll get if for you as long as you let Lucy go."
"No, I can't do that." He walks closer to me with more frustration in his voice.
"Pan, I don't care if you don't want me to. I'll do whatever it takes to keep my family save!" I get closer to him now.
"Love you don't understand-" He's grabbing my arms now.
"Pan, do it!" I say unphased by what he's doing to my arms.
"I can't kill you!" I hear his voice crack. I look in his eyes that has tears in them. His grep loosens so I take my hands and put them on his cheeks.
"If I die for my family then so be it. I rather die for them then die beside them." He lays his forehead on mine.
He's crying now " I can't, I'm sorry." I never take no for an answer.
"Do it." I say over and over to him. "Come on Pan do it! If you're the fucking king of Neverland, then fucking do it." I hear footsteps fade into our presents. "Fucking do it!" I feel a sharp pain in my stomach then goes away. I her them yell no.
I look over at them with tears in my eyes that makes my vison go blurry. "I'm so fucking sorry." I say low "I have to." They run to me. I fall to my knees Hook catches me before I hit the ground.
"I'm right here." He tells me.
"You didn't have to do this." I hear Regina say, I look up at her and I tear form in her eyes. Mary Margeret is breaking down on Daivd's shoulder choking on her sobs.
"Guys just get Lucy and go okay."
"We can't just leave you here Maylee." Henry tells me. I get up slowly with weak legs. I turn my head to Pan.
"Give Lucy to them." He doesn't look at me. He snaps his fingers and Lucy appears. She runs up to us. We give her a hug then looks at me with a worrier look. I bend down in front of Lucy while pain shoots though my body "Lucy, you know I love you right?" she nods. I smile, rise up " Go okay, I love you all." Lucy hugs me before Henry pulls her away from me going to the stairs.
Henry looks at me "I love you sis." then he's gone with everyone else. I look over at Pan.
PAN POV
I have her heart in my hand! I can't look at her, not like I used to. She was the one that wanted to do this a life for a life. She should have knew that all magic comes with a price, but I don't think she knows that it's her life on the line and mine. I look over at my time not much left in the hourglass, so I need to do this now.
I put both hands on her heart and put force on it. My mind is yelling at me to hurry up, but my heart is telling me not to do it.
I look over at her bad mistake she's on she cold ground ready to die. My legs go weak, and I fall damn it I have no time for this my life or hers. I close my eyes and hold her heart hard, she whippers at that. Slowly I put press on her heart. She screams and yell, but I block her sounds out while ash falls out of my hand.
Silents fills the room has I slowly start to feel fresh. I fall to the ground not able to breath I'm sobbing over a girl.
Who knew one person could change your entire life by just being it.
