I woke up a bit later in the day. My babysitter had already left, and Holden had eaten breakfast.

"Hey buddy," I said, entering the living room. "How was your night?"

He frowned and said, "You came home late, Mommy."

I chuckled. "Yes, I did. But I have a surprise for you."

"What is it, Mommy?" Holden's face changed from mad to curious in two point-one seconds.

"But you have to keep it a secret. Do you think you can do it?"

"Pinky swear," he said and put out his pinky. I walked over, we tied our pinkies together, then locked it. "So, what is it, Mommy?"

"Well, do you remember when you met JK? He mentioned that he would like to see you, and we are going today. What do you think?"

He screamed, "Really, Momma? JK?"

"Yep! He liked you so much from the airport that he wanted to spend a whole day with you."

Holden yelled, "Awesome!" as he jumped on the couch. "I knew he was my friend, Mommy. See, I told you!" he yelled happily.

I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess he is."

"I promise I won't tell anyone," he said. "Are you coming too, Mommy?"

I chuckled. "Of course! I wouldn't miss it. It's family day, after all."

He laughed. "This is going to be so awesome! Do you think JK will let me play with fire, Mommy?"

I laughed. "I hope not!"

"Aw," Holden said, disappointed. "Please, Mommy, let me ask him if we can throw the dust into the fire and make it change colors, please."

I laughed, "I don't even know if we will have a fire where we are going."

"Oh," he paused. "Then, what are we doing?"

"We are going to the beach and then watching a movie together."

"Okay, cool, Mommy. Let's go!" Holden ran to the door.

"Hey, wait!" I said. "Let's get you dressed and your teeth brushed first, okay, hun?"

"Okay, Mommy."

As we prepared to leave, a sleek black car arrived to pick us up and take us to a private aircraft.

"Mommy, what kind of beach are we going to?" Holden asked with excitement.

"I'm not sure, kiddo. It's a surprise for both of us," I replied with a smile.

As we stepped off the small boat we had taken after the plane ride, I couldn't believe my eyes. The island was like something out of a dream—crystal-clear water, soft sand, and a beautiful beach house waiting for us.

Then I saw him. JK stood on the porch, looking handsome in a white shirt and khaki shorts. The sunrise made him glow. Suddenly, he was running towards us, scooping up Holden with a big laugh.

"Hey Holden! I missed you, buddy," JK said, smiling. Then he looked at me and winked. "Come on, kid!" He ran off with Holden, but not before giving me a flirty smile and whispering, "Hey, friend." I giggled and rolled my eyes, but my heart was racing. Watching them play, I thought to myself, "This is going to be a wonderful day." The beauty of the island was breathtaking, but honestly, seeing JK and Holden so happy together was the most beautiful sight of all.

Lately, I found myself spending a significant amount of time with JK, despite his busy schedule with BTS and my own work commitments. Our bond had been growing stronger, and I was genuinely excited about it. However, I couldn't ignore the growing realization that I might be developing feelings for him. This concerned me, as I considered taking a step back from our blossoming friendship. The thought of it was quite disheartening.
