You sat on the couch, engrossed in watching some reels on your phone, your mother suddenly entered the room.

"Y/n, I've hired a teacher for you so you can get better at math," she announced.

"Oh, thanks," you replied. "That'll actually be good, especially with my semester exams coming up."

"You always talk about your university's math professor, I thought he must be a good tutor. You're already comfortable around him, so I hired him for home tutoring." She continued.

The mention of Mr. Kim's name made you shoot up your head and put aside your phone. "Mr. Kim?" You exclaimed.

"Yes," she replied with straight face. "And he'll start from tomorrow, since today is Sunday. Be ready by 10."

She left the room, leaving you with mixed emotions and a sigh of a bit relief.

I hate math!

Namjoon knocked gently on the door, hoping to meet your mother but instead, you opened it.

You stood there, dressed comfortably in grey sweatpants and a black crop top that elegantly didn't reveal your waist. Your chic glasses perched gracefully on your nose, and your curly bangs cascaded beside your hooded eyes. His jaw mentally dropped as he admired you.

He didn't realize your greeting, lost in his reverie. You subtly moved aside, silently inviting him in. He nodded faintly and stepped into your home, coming into being.

"Oh, hello!" Your mom exclaimed from the kitchen. He politely inclined his head in greeting and walked alongside you.

"Please, feel at ease. Y/n, take your professor to your room," she said with a gentle smile.

He met your gaze and returned a warm smile, attempting to ease the nerves that fluttered in his chest.

You led him to your room and gestured for him to take a seat. He smiled again, striving to acclimate to the new surroundings and dispel the lingering traces of nervousness. Settling comfortably into the chair, he reached for your book.

"Shall we begin?" He inquired gently.

"Yes," you murmured, slowly opening your book and pointing out the chapters where you had encountered difficulties.

"I believe your main problem lies in geometry," he commented with a faint grin. You nodded quietly.

Math had never been your favorite subject, but somehow, he made it enjoyable. With him, math didn't seem like an adversary anymore. You felt grateful to your mother for arranging this.

He looked around your room as you started solving a math problem. Your room was cozy and beautifully decorated, always tidy. There was a single bed, dim lights around the off-white painted wall, a guitar-

"You play guitar?" He asked as you looked up to his wondering eyes. You nodded slowly, smiling faintly. "I'd love to hear you playing it someday." He stared at the black guitar hanging on the wall. You only smiled shyly, not knowing what to say.

You had a bookshelf too, filled with a variety of books spanning different genres, creating a small personal library in your room.

"You love these kinds of books?" He asked, but he found you already staring at him, which made his heart race.

"Yes, I read them on weekends and holidays," you replied with a smile, averting your gaze to the shelf beside your table, leaving him with a fluttering heart.

"So, that's all for today," he exhaled with a smile. You reciprocated with a smile of your own.

"How's everything? Is Y/n studying properly?" Your mom suddenly chimed in, bringing two glasses of coffee. "Here!"

"Thank you, Mrs. Lim. She's doing well once she grasps the concepts and materials," he smiled at you, then turned to address your mom.

"That's good then. Please, make yourself comfortable here with her. She's a bit quiet and introverted," your mom chuckled softly, while you secretly wished she wouldn't continue any further.

"That's no big deal. I've already taught her multiple times before when she needed help, and she's very good at English!" He once again smiled at you and then faced your mom.

"I should be going now," he said softly and bowed to your mother.

You chimed in with a cheeky smile, "I'll walk you to the door." You began walking toward the door of your room, and he nodded, silently following. Your mom stayed behind to tidy up the books on the messy table.

"Did you enjoy today?" He broke the silence as you both walked down the stairs.

You replied softly, "Yes, sir." At the bottom of the stairs. You opened the door for him. "See you tomorrow then?" you said as he walked out of your house, making him smile softly.

"Yes," he replied, and you quickly bowed to him before closing the door.

Author's note💌: You are still reading this book? It's really boring that I don't feeling like writing anymore. I wish I could just slip into the interesting parts but these needed to be done or else you wouldn't understand how what happened. Enjoyyy~~~~ :p
