Title: You Exist
Author: -VividDreamsss-
Comments: The first two opening quotes perfectly set the backdrop of the prologue - personally I seem to be developing a bit of an obsession with epigraphs recently and you seem to source all the perfect and best ones. I love the slow gradual build into how you describe earth and how wonderful it is, as you allude to the beauty and purity of childhood innocence, an age where we're all blissfully unaware of the reality of the Establishment and how the media and government are set out to pollute and manipulate our lives. With Clara, you immediately set out a feeling of relatability, especially for me as a reader, knowing how monitored and regimented we are within our position in society today, that too often people feel as though they're born in the wrong time, and long to speak openly and freely and express themselves in a way that matters to them, something that makes me want to continue reading to learn more. Well done and I wish you all the very best with your work.
2nd Place
Title: Where Our Demons Hide
Author: craftychicken
Comments: Wow, what an enthralling and enticing prologue. Straight from the offset, you thrust us into the scene, as you slowly unravel the importance ceremony, and the kingdom of Kyrah for the readers, let alone Rick's immediate self centred and egotistical nature as he boasts about his ever so wonderful achievement about killing a record number of people. I could straight way feel Kaiden's anxiety knowing that he'd have to live up to Sanchez, something given his attitude about his ever so wonderful killing record, he's scared of. And then, you perfectly explain the ceremony and it's purpose - vibes which from how it's wrote I very much draw from The Hunger Games, and has me hooked to read more. You further expertly enhance my hatred for Rick as his appalling laugh at Finley's stutter as he realises he's been selected, already making me see him as a character I'm not to like. The general narrative and language all perfectly connote a dystopian like world and straight away has me hooked to learn and read more. Well done and all the best in your work going forward.

Title: The Wolf In Me
Author: 07_Kitten
Comments: Firstly, I adore all things wolf related, especially alpha, beta and omega, so you had me immediately hooked from the premise. I love the immediate aura of mystery you convey in regards to the secret - of Caleb's act against Ayesha, and how she kept it secret for so long, let alone the shame and fear she must've felt, let alone feeling so apprehensive to confide in someone, especially her brothers knowing how recklessly they could've acted so soon. I also really like how you create a sense of law and world building in regards to the acceptable laws and how boys were always the one who had an execution where the females on the other hand, were punished in other ways. I also love the emphasis on the world traitor before you proceed to shift to the very execution scene itself, especially including the look in Caleb's eyes as he realises his fate, or karma as I perceive it judging on how I interpreted the prologue, coming back to haunt him. Well done and all the very best on your work going forward.
