"Son, it is time you choose a mate. You are now old enough to decide, we recommend that you choose Tala, she's a good healer." The chief said to his son, Tonowari.
"Father, I do not want to choose her."
"Nonsense, it is what's best. Now go!" His father demanded. Tonowari left the hut swiftly in a mood, he decided to try hunting on his Skimwing to cool down.
He had been trying to find something for hours, and he had found nothing, still flying around the water, Tonowari heard a sound. A call. His head turned to see a woman: long, flowing black hair and a beautiful face, a mole on the side of her mouth. Tonowari was captivated by how swiftly she had caught a ton of fish by her spear, he was so distracted that his Skimwing lost balance and he was thrown off, hitting a rock to his arm. Laying on the sand in pain.
The woman saw and rode towards him. She got off and helped him up. "Are you ok?" She asked.
"Ugh...yeah." Tonowari could see the woman's features more clearly, she looked even more beautiful than before.
"Your arm is hurt. I think I have something in here." The woman rummaged in her pouch and got out some herbs. She spread it onto the wound. "This will sting."
"Ah, ouch!" Tonowari exclaimed.
"Told you." The woman sighed. The wounds soon calmed and were nearly gone.
"Wow, Eywa has blessed you with a great gift at healing."
"Thanks."
"Hey, is that the fish." Tonowari pointed to her spear.
"Yes, this thing never fails me. I've basically been hunting all day with it."
"Oh, so you've been hogging all the food."
"Excuse me." The woman looked offended.
"I'm just saying, leave some for the rest of us." Tonowari was silenced by the woman shoving him onto the sand and holding a knife to his throat. "Hey, hey, I'm sorry. I'll be quiet."
"How about I cut your throat, that'll keep you quiet." She hissed as she pressed the knife closer.
"You're beautiful." Tonowari whispered. The woman's eyes widened at his words and got off of him. She became quiet.
"I'm sorry, I'm an idiot. We perhaps got off the wrong foot. I'm Tonowari." He gestured towards the woman.
She gestured back. "I'm Ronal."
"Ronal...such a nice name. Will I see you again soon?"
"We'll see." She boarded her Skimwing. "Here. You look hungry." Ronal chucked a fish to him. And flew off.
That night, Tonowari couldn't sleep. He tossed and turned all night, thoughts flooding his mind of her. He has never felt this way before. The way her hair fell, her sharp teeth, her confidence. Is this what love and obsession feels like? No, couldn't be, she was just a good hunter. And an amazing healer. The wounds were practically gone now.
He had to see her again.

The next morning, Tonowari sneaked out of the hut to the shore, hoping he would see Ronal hunting again.
For once, he was right.
She was there, spearing her fish with grace. His eyes never left her. He had neve been so infatuated before in his life, especially never with people. She turned in his direction, she knew he was there, and landed on the sand. "Oh, it's you again."
"And hello to you too."
"You here for more fish?" Ronal asked.
"No, just came to see you again." Tonowari mumbled, sounding nervous.
"Oh", her face grew a warm feeling, "anything you want to...talk about?"
"I'm not sure. Just...stuff." The tension between the two got high as they both sat down, talking about everything about eachother: their families, their hobbies and their usual chores.
These conversations went on for days, even weeks, just meeting at the same spot. Ronal even taught Tonowari how to hunt better. The time they spent together was magnificent. Their bond grew stronger. Deeper. They were falling in love.
They both knew it, and couldn't deny it.
"Son, you need to make a decision, it's been weeks." Tonowari's mother informed him of his choice in mates.
"Mother, father. I have made a decision. I've chosen someone." Tonowari's parents perked up in interest.
"Who?" His father asked.
"A great hunter. She is a good healer, a great choice to train, mother. Ronal."
"Ronal? What about Tala?"
"I've made my decision, father. You can't do anything about my choice. She will be a good Tsahik." Tonowari gestured respect towards them and left the hut to meet Ronal. The same spot, same time. Like always. Tonowari nearly stumbled because he was so nervous and in love with this Na'vi. She smiled at him, also weak in the knees.
"Ronal...I need to ask you something." He slowly held both her hands, gazing into her eyes.
"Yes, Tonowari."
"I need to choose a mate to become my Tsahik, and I've chosen someone, someone who understands me more than everyone else, someone who knows me, someone who loves me." His face was now close to hers. "I choose you, Ronal."
"Tonowari, I don't know what to say. I...choose you." Ronal leaned forward too. Their faces touched as their lips interlocked with eachother's. An expression of their love finally being shown. They had waited for so long.
They let go, holding eachother close, before whispering.
"I see you."
The end.
