You noticed Tsu'tey avoiding you the whole day: during hunting, meals, and he hadn't spoken to you when flying your ikrans with the other hunters. The only thing he did was signal for different turns and when you all needed to land, you gazed at his face for a split second, his eyebrows were furrowed and a scowl was only growing on his face.

Later that evening; you decided to speak with him.

"Tsu'tey, what's wrong?" You whispered in his ear during the evening meal.

He didn't look at you, only mumbled a quiet "nothing" to you. You felt hurt at his carelessness for your feelings, you were only trying to help.

"Fine, if you don't want my help, then stay moody." You swiftly left him with his food and decided to hunt to cool off. Your tail flicked his face in the process, he didn't even flinch.

Mo'at rolled her eyes at Tsu'tey, "I advise to go and see her."

He nodded, and left swiftly aswell to find you.

You were hunting fish at a nearby river: taking slow, deep breaths, eyes fixated on the moving fish swimming quickly in the glistening water. Your arms stretched the bow and arrow sharply, a second later a 'splash' was heard, but the fish wasn't on the arrow- it managed to slip away.

"Agh!" You growled.

"Close." Your head turned to see Tsu'tey standing behind you, against a tree.

A frown grew on your face, "so am I now interesting? Do I now deserve your attention?"

"Look, y/n. I'm sorry I've been ignoring you. I've been ignoring everyone lately. I'm just...stressed."

Your gazed softened. "Stressed?"

"Yes, as the next Omatikayan I have duties and responsibilities, look at you. You're the next Tsahik! How do you even cope?"

You held his face, finally understanding it all. "Come sit with me."

You guided him onto a seat next to the river. "Close your eyes, Tsu'tey."

He closed them.

"Breathe in. Slowly."

He did as instructed.

"Breathe out."

You placed your hand on his chest, rising and falling. "What do you hear?"

"The forest, the flow of the river, the animals. And your voice." He opened his eyes, meeting yours.

"Did that help?"

"Yes. Is this what you do after training?"

"Yes, Tsu'tey. Now, if you're bothered, tell me instead of ignoring me, ok?"

He sighed, and rested his forehead against yours, kissing it lightly. And then pecked your lips softly. "I will."

"I see you, Tsu'tey."

"I see you, y/n."

The end.
