Chapter 23: Safe

Astrid POV

Arson saved me from the prison. While saving me, he revealed that he is really a spy send by Christine in order to monitor his highness. He is also the reason why the Royal Family can't trace the culprit behind the various incident about ladies being kidnap and being killed.

He need to be a spy in order to protect his sister. Christine took his sister as an hostage that why he can't fight against Christine.

He reveal the truth to his highness before we depart. Kinutuban siya na may planong masama sa akin si Christine. Naglakas loob siya na umamin sa kanyang kasalanan dahil nakokonsensya na rin sya.

The reason why Arson didn't go with us in Balistine is to save my family that is order by his highness. He relocate my family in order to protect them from Christine.

And the reason why the Crown Prince always missing is not because of Christine. He is just going out the castle always because he's been sending message on the capital to inform about what happening here and be inform about my family if they were relocated into a safe place.

When they make sure that my family is safe, they take action_which is today. Hindi lamang nila inexpect na hindi na makatiis si Christine upang patayin ako.

"Paano mo nalaman na hindi ako si Astro?" I asked Arson while we are walking in the spiral staircase upward.

I need to start a conversation since I think it would be awkward for us being silence for the whole time. And I am not really mad at Arson action. Kung ako nasa kinatatayuan niya ay baka ganun rin gawin ko. I would do everything for my family.

He love his sister, Serene.

"Noong umattend ka sa isang party kasama si Lady Amy. I know how Astro love Cindy. He wouldn't go to a party while his wife is suffering. He would felt guilty even I know it's a favor," sagot niya habang diretso lang nakatingin.

Napatango na lamang ako sa naging sagot niya. Yeah, he is right. My twin brother is madly in love with his wife. Since he met his wife, he never interact with other woman other than Cindy and me. He is afraid that Cindy might got jealous and leave him.

Nang makaakyat kami sa taas ay narinig namin ay labanan. I could heard the friction of sword clashing together and the loud thud of the things being crash or smash.

Naghintay muna kami na matapos ang gulo sa labas bago kami lumabas. When we can't here any sword clashing together, we decided to go out.

"The reinforcement already arrive, I guess," mahinang sabi ni Arson bago binuksan ang pintoan.

Bumungad sa amin ang magulong kitchen area dahil sa gulong nangyari. So, they use some hidden door in their kitchen in order to not to be notice easily. Mabuti na lamang kumampi sa akin si Arson kungdi baka di na nila ako mahanap.

Nang makalabas kami sa kitchen ay bumungad sa amin ang tahimik na hallway pero may mga katawan na nakakalat sa paligid. Most of them are just severely injure while some is already dead. I can't help but cringe when I could smell their blood on the air.

Maingat ang aking paglalakad dahil wala akong sapin sa paa. Idagdag mo pa na nakadamit pam tulog lamang ako. I am just wearing a white thin dress. Hanggang tuhod lamang ang suot kong dress kaya nilalamig na ako.

Idagdag mo pa na masakit buong katawan ko. The edge my arms are full of bruised due to the chain use to tied me. Even my feet is full of bruised.

Being a fake fiancee of that crown prince is such a headache. I suffered so much. Sana naman makahanap na siya nang mapangangasawa niya at hindi na niya tatakasan.
