His Reaction to "I Love You" (1/2)

What was his reaction to you saying "I love you" for the first time? How did he answer? Did he say it back? Where and when did you tell him you loved him?

Campbell wanted to catch Tommy in his scheme to get the papers from Sabini. You were waiting for Tommy at the tent where they served liquor and when he didn't show, you feared the worst. You waited there until the race was over and finally went to go find Tommy. You found Polly instead and she informed you everything went as planned, that Detective Campbell was shot by some unknown *wink, wink*. You assumed it was Tommy who shot him (although the blood on her shirt should have given it away) and thought maybe he had to just clear out to avoid any complications. You waited for him at his office before just going to the Garrison. You fell asleep at one of the tables and was woken up by someone shaking your shoulder. You awoke to Tommy standing there with a little bit of blood on his face. "I've been looking everywhere for you." He said in frustration. You immediately wrapped your arms around him and held him, him gradually holding you back. You thought about how safe you felt when you were with him, smiling as your true feelings forced you to unconsciously reveal out loud "I love you, Tommy." Both of you froze, your heart racing in your chest at the fear of his reaction. After a few long moments, Tommy ran a hand over your hair and his voice cracks as he spoke "Now, I've got fucking everything."

It's no denying that you were Alfie's girl. Any man whom even stared at you longer than necessary would be scared away by Alfie confronting them up close and cornering them. However, when it came to you saying "I love you," it took a turn in your relationship. You and Alfie were having sex on his bed when the words just slipped from your lips. He immediately stopped and got off of you, putting his clothes on. He walked out without another word, ignoring you completely as you continued to try and talk to him, leaving you embarrassed, confused, and unsatisfied.

Brilliant Chang had sent a young woman to seduce and hold an advantage over Finn. You were supposed to meet your lover, Arthur, there with his brother Tommy to discuss business with the tracks (Esme had her baby and you took her place temporarily while she recovered) before their meeting with Chang. You were immediately nabbed and dragged into the office with a gun to your head. When Tommy and Arthur showed up, Arthur immediately drew his gun and was ready to take Chang down. Tommy calmed him since there was a gun to your head, not wanting your brains all over his office desk. When the phone rang, it being Finn to notify them that he was nearly killed, Arthur kept his gun raised. You, in fear for your life, squeaked out "I love you" to Arthur as his eyes stayed on you the whole time. His grip on his gun only tightened but eventually he lowered his weapon. You were released, LITERALLY thrown right into Arthur's arms. Finn rushed in and almost caused a war with Chang, a bullet flying out of his pistol. Arthur immediately rushed you out, wanting you to get to safety.  He watched you run for a few moments, his heart sore for you.

Polly had got between the two of you and Michael quit talking to her. She thought it would fade but it never did and Michael resented her for forcing you to walk away. Eventually, Tommy advised Polly to make amends with you so she can get her son back. Polly came to you and said "Michael loves you. I don't know why... (y/n), go to him. He needs you." In the pouring rain, you went to Michael shortly after Polly left. When he opened the door, you were soaking wet and immediately said "I love you, Michael." He stood there in shock, unsure what to say. You, hoping he loved you back, wrapped your arms around him and kissed him. He kissed you back, wrapping his arms around you, and pulled you in from the cold rain into the house.
