Chapter Eight

Keziah's POV

Kasalukuyan kaming dalawa na nakaupo sa sahig habang nakasandal kami sa gilid ng higaan, napapagitnaan namin si Z na natutulog na naman.

Kanina ko pa tinititigan ang malaking bintana na isinarado ko kanina at hinayaang ilugay ang mga manipis na kurtina.

Kung kanina ay medyo maliwanag pa sa puwesto namin, ngayon ay medyo dumilim na.

I can't still believe who I saw earlier.

I can't believe that I saw him right in front of me. He's smiling from ear to ear like he's breathing the same air as me.

And from the moment we stayed here, he's lurking around me, hiding in the dark, doing little experiments and observations if I could feel his presence.

"Tell me," I broke the long deafening silence.

"Parang kahapon lang sabi mo nagdududa ka pa kung makikita kita o hindi, tapos ngayon?"

Sinundan ko siya ng tingin nang tumayo ito at dahan-dahan naglakad papunta sa malaking bintana. Bigla naman ako napatayo sa kinauupuan ko.

I am kind of nervous about him stepping into that bright spot. Kasi 'di ba he's been living within the darkness and can't even step out on the brightest places.

I sighed in relief and looked at Eunwoo with amusement while my mouth slightly formed an "o" as soon as he stepped forward on the spot where the moonlight was without any harm happening to him.

"Have you seen in horror movies that the person who can see the ghosts are the ones who have a third eye?" tumango ako bilang tugon.

"My case is similar to theirs but only different in a way how humans can see or feel me. I don't even know if I am a lost soul or a ghost, but just like them, the reason why I'm still here is that I have an unfinished business that needs to be completed."

"You don't have a third eye, but the lady in red said to me before that as time goes by, there will be a person who will be able to feel my presence, see and talk to me like what we are doing right at this moment."

Hindi ko alam kung saan ba ako lutang ngayon, kung do'n ba sa part kanina na nakita ko na siya finally or dito sa mga sinasabi niya.

Humingi naman ako sa langit ng mala K-drama na buhay at ng main character things, pero hindi ganitong plottwist ang hinihingi ko!

"Kezza, of all people living here and aside from Z, you're the only person who can feel my presence and totally see me like this."

I don't know but it hurts me when he said those.

"But how did it end up that I am the help you need? It's not like I don't want to help you, but I am only your best friend's sister; don't you find that weird?"

I mean, it would be best if his parents could help him in this matter, right? Or MJ, since magkaibigan sila. We didn't have any interaction when he was still here. Nakakapagtaka lang bakit ako lang.

This kinda sus to me.

"I don't even know how I could answer your question, kasi kahit ako ay nagulat din at naguluhan. That's the only thing that that lady in red explained to me about how I can get help."

Lumakad siya pabalik sa puwesto namin, pero nagulat ako nang tumigil siya sa harap ko at tiningnan ako sa aking mga mata.

Lord, pakisabihan po siya na huwag ako titigan nang ganito. I'm not your strongest soldier pagdating sa ganito.
