"today is the 11-month anniversary of being trapped here forever!" monokuma's laugh echoed in the dining hall. smoke arose from the table as he came from nowhere with a big smile on his face like always.

the juvenile students groaned. some still haven't accepted the fact they're gonna be here for the rest of their lives. saihara shuichi, the ultimate detective, was one of them.

"we'll find a way one day!" akamatsu kaede shouted, slamming her hands on the table as she stood up abruptly. akamatsu kaede was the ultimate pianist, saihara's best friend.

"you say that every time he comes here." harukawa maki sighed, picking at her food. "and you heard him. it's almost been a year."

"upupu!~ seeing such dread on your faces brings me glee! but, i do come along with good news! news that may even give you a little hope!" monokuma swayed side to side.

"oh? and what may that be?" toujo kirumi, the ultimate maid asked as she cleaned up plates. "i'll take the news! i need some sort of happiness around here!" momota kaito added, stroking his goatee.

"nothing can be better than leaving this hellhole." hoshi ryoma lowered his hat. "just tell us already so we can continue our day."

"indeed, indeed! atua is eager to know!" yonaga angie clapped her hands together.

"fine, fine! sense you all want to know so bad..." monokuma trailed off in suspense. "today is february 14th! it's valentine's day!" he danced in a circle with circles of pink on his face. there were a few murmurs.

"ah, yes. valentine's day. a day in which humans show their gratitude and love to one another in various ways. the many beauties of humanity." said shinguji korekiyo.
"like fucking!" iruma miu snorted, adding on.

"god, can you ever shut up? fucking pig." ouma kokichi mumbled under his breath.

shuichi wondered. why was valentine's day so important to monokuma? why is it good news?

"we should all do something together as a group to show our appreciation for one another!" kiibo, the ultimate robot, suggested. "let's have yumeno~san throw a magic show!"
"eeee! please himiko, please?!" chabashira tenko begged.

yumeno himiko yawned, ignoring everyone and continuing to eat her food.

"no, no, NO!" monokuma's silver claws rose into the air. "don't you get it, imbeciles?! you're gonna be trapped here until the day you die! that means you need to start finding love and repopulate!"

"...what?" shirogane tsumugi blinked in confusion. "re—repopulate?!" she shrieked.
"i think what monokuma is trying to say is..." amami rantaro trailed off. "that today would be the perfect day in finding love among us. and while i hate to say it, i do agree." he stood up, stretching.

"but—amami~kun! how can you agree?" akamatsu frowned.
"we've had no luck in finding the mastermind or getting out of here. i'm not saying we should start getting comfortable...although, we should start letting our guards down just a bit."

"oooo~! does amami~chan like someone? is that why you're agreeing with monokuma?" ouma teased.

saihara sighed. as he was silent through all of this, he truly had nothing to say. monokuma wanted him to start finding love. in this place? no thanks...
