"good morning everyone!" kageyama chirped to his teammates, his long strides and bright smile beaming positivity and good vibes for the morning, it scared the living shit out of them.
"kags, are you ok?" the ginger spiker cautiously asked, inching towards his out of character friend as his he would attack him if he got too close. the rest of the team quieted down so that they could hear their conversation, also confused as to why their setter is actually happy.
"i'm great man, come on, let's get to practice!" kageyama smiled as he ruffled his hair and jogged towards the net.
hinata flinched at how action, mouth left agape at the entire interaction that played between them, the entire gym copied his actions. not used to kageyama's post loss ritual.
after a game is lost, kageyama storms home immediately. he vents his frustrations by crying and sometimes throwing/punching occasionally. the next day, he storms back to the gym and overworks himself for the whole day, yelling at people to match his pace but most likely breaking down in front of the team.
although kageyama has done plenty of work on himself, he can't help but be hard on himself. kageyama has always been the best player that evolves to be even better, he couldn't help but carry out that legacy.
"well, do i have to play by myself?" kageyama smiled at hinata as he grabbed a ball. bokuto and atsumu giggled at the phrasing while sakusa rolled his eyes at their immaturity.

practice was anything but normal, for once it was peaceful and joyous instead of awkward and tense. everyone was smiling and laughing, the sun was out so kageyama suggested that they all okay out. they all agreed instantly.
currently, they are now taking a break, sitting around and gossiping about trivial things like normal men.
"ok but kageyama what actually happened? usually you're a grumpy mess after loosing a hand but now you're a ray of sunshine" suna questioned bluntly, he was never one to try and beat around the bush.
