Chapter 2: Night Fury

"Man the Fort, Hiccup. They need me out there." Gobber attached a large blade to his prosthetic hand

Before leaving, he turned back to the teen

"Stay. Put. There. You know what I mean."

He then let out a war cry before running into the chaos

...

Hiccup was rolling his contraption through the crowds

"Where are you going?" A viking shouted

"Yeah, I know!"

"Hiccup!" They called after him

"Be right back!" He yelled, still running

...

There were three Nadderheads surrounding a herd of sheep

The cheif threw a large net over them, trapping the dragons

"Let's get him!"

One of the nadderheads broke through the net and breathed out fire

"Mind yourselves!"

The ginger haired man jumped onto the dragons head and clinged on, sealing its mouth shut

"The devils still have some juice in them!"

...

Hiccup ran to a quiet place on the edge of the hill and set up his bow and arrow invention

He searched the sky for the target

"Come on. Give me something to shoot at. Give me something to shoot at." He spoke to himself

A faint screech was heard as he looked around for the source

He narrowed his eyes as he saw the outline of the Night Fury

A large blast landed in front of him, and he shot the arrow blindly before falling backwards due to the force

A loud screech was let out by the creature as it plummeted down

"I hit it. Yes, I hit it!" He cheered

...

Down by the fires, (y/n) heard her brother's name being called out

"Hiccup!"

"Be right back!"

He was wheeling some sort of barrow

She then remembered that it was the invention Hiccup was working on

She then looked up at the location of the night Fury and where Hiccup was heading

She put the pieces together and gasped in realisation

"He's trying to take down the Night Fury" she whispered to herself

"Astrid! Take this!" She shoved the bucket of water into his chest

"What-why? You need that!" He told the girl

(Y/n) didn't waste any time answering his question and ran after her brother

"(Y/n)! Where are you going?!" He called out after her

He then heard his name being called out from behind him

"Astrid! A little help here?!" Fishlegs yelled as the flames were getting bigger

...

"Did anybody see that?" He looked around

A monstrous nightmare crept up behind him and growled

"Except for you..."

The dragon began chasing Hiccup as he screamed and flailed his hands in the air
