Mistakes Chapter 28

( Sam's POV )

I turn looking out the door to see Finney and a tall tan skinned guy grabbing his arm. "Who Is that?" I say turning to the boy with short blonde hair and pointing out the door. "Uh that's... That's Robin." the boy says stopping looking concerned. The boy with long curly dirty blonde hair looks over.

"Robin is just being clingy. He's like that when he gets desperate." "Robin gets desperate?" The shorter kid says. "Oh sorry I didn't introduce ourselves." The black haired boy says kicking the Tall long dirt blonde haired boy.

"Oh Sorry, I'm Vance. That's Bruce, He's Billy, and that's Griffin. Oh and Robin is out there." Vance says pointing outside. I nod smiling. "Cool." I say

"So, do you do a sport?" Billy asks resting his arms on the table. "Um, Well yeah. I do surfing." "Are you any good?" Vance asks tilting his head to the side.

" I mean I would say so. I started surfing when I was eight and started competing when I was like 14." I smile. "Wait your last name is Jacobson?" Griffin says his eyes widened. "Yeah?" "I saw you on tv once! You won like a lot of championships!" "Yeah." I smile lightly. "Wow, Interesting." Billy says.

I nod slowly. "That's pretty cool." Bruce says smiling. "Yeah I guess." "I play football and baseball and I got kicked from the soccer team because I was on to many varsity sports." Billy says frowning. "Yeah and you cried for like a week." I turn seeing Finney laughing.

I smile. "Sorry about that." He says. "It's cool. Did you know Sam is basically like a pro surfer!" Bruce says. He gives Finney a look. "I wouldn't say I'm a pro-" "No that's actually pretty cool and impressive. Maybe you can surf a bit at the party tonight." Finney says sitting down.

"Yeah, okay." I mumble happily. "Finney can I pull you for a chat?" Bruce says standing up. "Uh yeah sure." Finney says standing up.

After a couple of minutes I stand up. "I'm going to go to the bathroom I'll be right back." They all nod as I walk around searching for a bathroom. I reach one hearing Finney and Bruce's voice. "Finney, Do you like Sam?" Bruce says eagerly. "Um, I mean I don't know what to think. Me and Robin..."

I looked down and walked away finding another bathroom.

( Time Skip, After school.)

I walk to now my yellow jeep thoughts racing. I looked back and saw Robin staring at me. I quickly looked back getting into my jeep quickly.

My breath was shaky as I looked around the familiar car. I started thinking about my terrible past

"Sam? SAM?" "What Chole?" I say annoyed looking up at my older sister. "Do you want to come surfing with me?" "No, and didn't mom strictly tell you not to?" I say rolling my eyes as my sister fills her pink water bottle. "Yeah, but it's not like there's going to be an actual shark attack. This isn't a fucking jaws movie." "Yeah whatever." I say walking to my room.

"Okay! Tell mom I'm out with friends!" "Okay!" I yell back going upstairs to get ready for my date with my Girlfriend Flo.

"Where's Chole?" My brother says bursting into my room. "God Andy. Why do you want to know?" "We're going surfing together." He says rolling his eyes while leaning on my door frame. "She's probably waiting outside." Just on queue my sister beeps her jeep horn. "Alright thanks little bro." He says rustling my hair. "Stay safe or whatever." I say "You do the same on that date with Flo!" He yells back.

I roll my eyes going to my phone. "Great." I say seeing she was now busy... As usual. I walk downstairs going outside to just  drive for a bit. I got into my dad's car while driving off.

As I did I decided on taking a little detour to the 7-11. I got out going in the small convenience store. As I got to the back grabbing a can of coke. glancing around the store. My eyes land on the ocean view seeing a couple kissing.

I looked away before walking to the cashier catching a closer look at the couple. I took a double glance noticing a familiar bracelet on the girls wrist. "Huh, do you like know Flo or something?" The girl at the cashier says nosely. "Flo... Yeah Um what's her last name though." "Dean?" I inhale sharply looking down.

"That'll be 2.29" She says. I hand her a 5 dollar bill. "Keep the change." I say storming out of the 7-11.

Tears flowed down my face as I glanced at my dads car. Screw this. I thought. I walked quickly to the little spot they were.

"Flo?" I say my breath hitched. Quickly Flo gets off the guy. "Marcus... Well shit." I say under my breath rubbing my fore head. "Sam I swear it's not what it looks like." Marcus gets up with Flo. "Well It clearly does... I'm guessing that's why you canceled on me... Like you always do now." I say tears slowly falling down my face.

"Sam..." Flo says grabbing my hands. "Leave it..." I say pushing her off lightly. "Can I have it back." I say trying to not let another tear fall. She glances at the bracelet. "Sam..." "No, No it's actually fine, keep it . You clearly don't give a fuck about me anymore so just... Just... Move on without me... You clearly think we were a mistake." I say walking away as tears streamed down my face.

"SAM!" Marcus yelled. But I didn't turn back. That was the last thing I ever wanted to do right now.

Part of me still wanted to go over and kiss Flo the other made my heart break thinking my own best friend was the one.

Because I not only had strong feelings for Flo I had the same feelings for my best friend Marcus... I was just too afraid to admit them... Knowing my friend would reject me.

My heart pounded through my chest as I got into my dad's car and quickly drove off. 

I looked around seeing a really really bad car crashing an ambulance lit on fire and a green truck flipped over. I scanned the accident my eyes widening as I see my father and mother crying with each other next to a couple of police officers.

I quickly got out of my car tears still in my eyes as I ran over to my parents. "Why are you here?" I ask confused.

"Your sister and brother..." My mom trailed off as she couldn't finish her sentence. I looked over to the ambulance with two bodies getting covered by a black sheet. "Mom are they... dead?" My father nods his eyes red as he hugs my mom close.

"Your sister got attacked by a shark... She was messing with it. She thought it would do nothing. She was getting rushed to the hospital with her brother and then a drunk driver came and swerved the ambulance...." My father says tears still falling down his face.

That's when I pulled into my driveway I was still shaky. I glanced at my sister's yellow jeep before going into the house.
