( Robin's POV )
I smiled warmly at Finney till the bell rang. It had felt like school had gone on forever. Finney began pulling me to the parking lot going over to my big black truck. I smirked at him as he slowly cupped his hand on my cheek.
"I'm so sorry for the way I treated you." Finney says looking me deep in the eye. I melted for a second before answering. "It's okay, I was I guess not the best, only because I didn't tell you what Billy told me." Finney chuckles slowly leaning in before getting a notification.
"You want to get that?" I ask. "Uh might as well, ruined the moment after all." Finney said laughing. He quickly took out his phone his smile soon fading. "Everything okay?" I ask confused.
"Billy...Holly shit." Finney mumbles. "What's wrong with him?" I ask still confused as I tap Finney lightly on the shoulder. " He got in a... He's..." Finney mouth slightly opened tears beginning to show.
"Finney what's wrong?!?!" I say, now concerned. Finney's face went pale as he looked up at me. "Billy got in a car crash." Finney says choking on his tears. My eyes widened as I stared at Finney flabbergasted.
"He's in the hospital..." Finney's tears falling down his face. "Should we go?" I ask rushed. "YES!" Finney yelled. He quickly opened the passenger door entering the car. I did the same starting the car quickly.
( At the hospital )
Desperately Finney rushed to the front desk shortly getting followed by me. "Is Billy Showalter here?" Finney says slamming his hands down on the desk. "Are you a family member of Billy?" The nurse said slightly annoyed by Finney's quickness.
"Yes! I'm his cousin!" Finney said urging. "Okay he's in room D 89, floor three." The nurse says. Her eyes linger on me for a second before looking back at Finney. "And who is this young man accompanying you?" She asks.
"Billy's other cousin, were his cousins." Finney says even faster than before. "Okay, you can stay for 20 minutes, visiting time is almost over so go on now." The nurse going back to the computer to type something.
Finney then grabs my hand rushing me over to the many elevators. "Gosh, why doesn't this just close faster!" Finney said spamming the door close button. "Okay Finney are you okay?" "Robin do I look okay my friend is in the fucking hospital, he just got in a car crash for gods sake!" Finney said turning to me more tears streaming down his face.
"Okay, look I'm really sorry. But I mean what can I say?" I say looking deeply into Finney's eyes. Before Finney can respond. the elevator doors open. Without another second Finney was already rushing out of the elevator before it was even open.
"God Finney, wait up!" I say running after him. "D 89, D 89, D 89,D 89,D 89," Finney kept mumbling as we raced down the hall. "Here!" Finney says bursting into the room. "What the fu-" Billy said before seeing Finney... And me.
"Oh... Hi" Billy says propping himself up. "Is Griffin with you?" "No... I actually don't know where he is." Finney said walking up to Billy. "Can I hug you?" Finney asks looking down at Billy. "Yeah, yeah of course."
My eyes laced with jealousy as Finney held Billy tightly looking as though he would never let go. "Have your parents visited you yet?" "They just left..." Billy says flatly as Finney lets go of him.
"Okay... do you know when you're getting out?" Finney says pulling a chair up. I slowly lean back on the wall crossing my arms. "Uh probably tomorrow, I can still play football..." Billy glances at me before looking back at Finney.
"Just have to be careful, I got cut in the face with glass and stuff, but I'm fine." Billy says looking over to me again. "So did you guys come here together?" "Uh yeah, I don't have a car so..." Finney glances at me as Billy does the same.
"Well hopefully you get out today, we need you for the game on Saturday." I said a hint of bitterness in my tone. Billy nods giving me a fake smile. "Yeah here's hoping." Finney said chuckling to himself.
"Well Finney we best head out soon. Billy, always a pleasure, I'll be outside." I said coldly before leaving the room going to the elevator.
I entered the elevator pushing the lobby button before the door opened just before I was going down. Not bothered I turned on seeing Finney. "Can we please talk?" I look at him confused. "About?" "Your attitude." Finney says practically shoving me into the elevator.
"Gosh..." I say rubbing the back of my head. Finney glares at me before taking my hand and leading me to the parking lot.
We soon approach my truck before Finney pulls me to the Passenger side.
"Okay what is it?" Finney ask impatiently. "What is what?" I say crossing my arms. "Your problem with Billy. And before you say. He still likes you blah blah blah. I'm jealous of him blah blah blah. Even though you probably wouldn't admit the last one, but whatever. And you got in a fight with him blah blah blah."
I give Finney an amused look. "Well I mean those are my top two reasons. Because I am not jealous of him." I say flatly rolling my eyes.
Finney raises his eye brow before looking into my eyes.
"Look Robin there really isn't any need for you to be jealous of him because I chose you." Finney says taking his pointer finger and lightly tapping it on my chest. I exhale in embarrassment, thinking about what I said earlier before Leaving the room.
"Yeah." Finney says smiling slightly. "Caused quite a scene." Finney says chuckling. I roll my eyes, blushing slightly. "Yeah, yeah whatever." I say. Finney's face falls into my chest laughing.
I smile looking down at Finney. "Okay seriously resolve your things with Billy." Finney says putting his arms around my neck.
"Alright, I'll try for you." I say grabbing Finney's front belt loops pulling him closer. Finney smiles moving his hand to cup my cheek and the other going on my waist. "Can I kiss you?" I say quietly. Finney smiles before kissing me gently.
