5 BBY, Narkina 5

The shuttle lurched as it entered the atmosphere of an oceanic moon, dipping lower and lower as Kendall peered through the shutters at the various heptagonal structures sticking out of the water. If they were anywhere above sea level, she would have thought it reminded her of Alcatraz back in San Francisco.

She glanced around at the other women, who were all handcuffed to their seats. Among them, she recognized only Casi, who shot Kendall a furtive glance. The men had been herded onto a separate shuttle towards the same facilities, and Nica had been taken onto another shuttle bound for Nur... which left only the two of them.

As the ship docked, the handcuffs snapped loose, relieving Kendall's wrist pain. The ramp opened shortly after, revealing a sterile white corridor that very much reminded her of a Kaminoan facility... that was, before they were all destroyed.

"MOVE IT!" A guard barked, shoving everyone in a single file line before marching them down the ramp. "DOWN THE RAMP!"

"Stop touching me-!" A Twi'lek yelped behind Kendall, only to get smacked again.

"On program!" Another guard snapped, brandishing an electric baton. "That means hands behind head, feet down! Do you understand me?!"

Kendall immediately did so, as did the others. As the shuttle took off, she noticed a trio of guards joining them... and she was 99% sure she recognized one of them.

"Welcome to Narkina 5," The familiar guard drawled in a tone that told Kendall he did not enjoy being stationed here. He was an old man, well above retirement age with mostly grey hair with hints of dark brown from his youth. "This is an Imperial factory facility, and you all have been deemed labor worthy."

"What is Captain Madreth doing here...?" Casi hissed under her breath. Since the Clone Wars, Kendall had heard from Master Vos that Casi refused to call Don Madreth her father, even after finding out the true nature of the relationship between each other. She could see why- the former Republic naval captain was known for his discriminatory attitude towards women, having abused both of his wives as well as having made multiple assassination attempts on his eldest daughter. Even during his time in the 125th Fleet, he'd made sexist remarks towards Kendall, Leda, and Admiral Ivel, only being transferred to Vos's forces after the Second Battle of Geonosis.

If Madreth heard Casi, he paid her no mind for the time being. "Now, following this introduction, you will be transferred to your level assignment and workroom, where your floor manager will explain the details of our schedule and expectations. Your length of stay has been predetermined... the quality of that time will be up to you. Now, all you who have been incarcerated before will be surprised by the calm, sanitary conditions and the minimally invasive enforcement techniques. If you're wondering how we risk standing before you without weapons, there are two reasons- A, you women are rather tame, and B..."

He pressed a device, and instantly electricity pulsed through Kendall's system, reminding her of the interrogation chair in Fortress Inquisitorius, except there was no visible electricity here. After about 10 seconds, he proceeded to deactivate it, sending all the prisoners face first on the floor, gasping for breath.

"You may stand," He sneered, glaring pointedly towards Casi's direction. "That was level one of three. Our floors are Tunqstoid steel. Do your time productively, stay in your place, and this needn't be more than a memory... for most of you."
