"Hi." Harrison spoke and then smiled.
Gulping, I responded with, "Uhh, hi. Umm, come in."
I let them in. Both the boys stepped over the threshold and walked into the living room to join the rest. Oh god, I'm gonna have to do a lot of explaining.
"Hey guys." As Harrison and I had been a couple once, he already knew most of my mates. He turned towards Betzy, "Betzy, they are all Ami's, sorry, I mean Amama's mates. This is Jasmin, this is Lee and this is Ninj."
"Minge?!" Betzy broke in, with a puzzled look on his face.
"No! It's Ninj, you faggot! N-I-N-J." Ninj protested in defence of her name.
"Woah, chill. Didn't know you were Miss Mardy as well Miss Questionnaire."
"Hahahaha. Eat my poo."
"What the hell are you doing here, Betz?!" Lee interrupted after he had finished combing Jasmin's hair. He looked pretty shocked and excited to see Betz. Betzy. Whatever.
"Yo, what are you doing over here, cuz?" Bertie responded, giving Lee a squinted look.
"I'm here with my bird, innit. Who's your bird? Her?" he asked, pointing in my direction.
OH MY GOD.Talk about embarrassment and you'll find me.
"Do one, fag." Betzy replied in a jokey-angry manner, and then turned towards me, "So, can we go upstairs?"
Hold on. Is this guy like totally out of his brain? If he even has one, that is. Why the hell is he asking me to come upstairs with him? Why does HE want to go upstairs?
Lee wolfwhistled, making the situation even more awkward. No one spoke.
"Umm, guys. What the hell are you all thinking? I'm not taking her upstairs to-"
Harrison cut him off with, " Betz, just take her and go. I'll explain to them."
Well, as there were quite a few people in the house I didn't really hesitate to go with Betzy. Gosh, I hate his name.
When we got on the landing, he headed towards my bedroom, that too, without asking me. What even.
"Umm, that's my-" I tried to say before he cut me off with,
"I know. But it was once mine too."
Huh?
"Sorry, what?"
"It was my bedroom too. When we used to live here."
"You..you lived in this house?"
"Yeah, stayed in this house fot quite a time," he said, reaching behind my cupboard for some odd reason. "Ahh, found it at last." He took out a blue plastic CD cover.
"What's that?" I asked, feeling a little uneasy now since I had never seen that CD cover in my room before, and I've been living in this house for over five years now.
"My tracks. Music. It's been in your room for a really long time, you know. I'm shocked it's actually still here. Don't you ever clean your room?" He said with a stupid grin on his face.
"I do clean my room!"
"Hahaha, I'm joking! Calm yo t-t-tennis racket."
"What?" What the hell was he talking about?
"Nothing, nothing. Anyway, thanks a lot for, umm, letting me inside your house. Well, it's my house too, but thanks."
"Umm, no it isn't, but okay. You're welcome?"
"I'm welcome? Welcome to your house? So when can I come again then?" Okay, so now he was really taking the mickey. And that stupid fat grin.
"Umm we should probably go down."
"Already?"
"Oh, please."
-------------
"You found it?" Harrison asked when we went back into the living room.
"Yeah, just the way I left it." Betzy answered.
"Amama! What's he talking about?! What did he find? Tell me! Tell me then! Tell me, you fag.
"Okay, okay! He found a CD, which was behind my cupboard for a really long time, that's all!"
"CD? What CD?" Great. Now Jasmin has also joined in with the Third Degree.
"Just an old CD that belongs to him, guys."
"Why was it in your room?" Jasmin and Ninj asked in unison.
*Deep sigh* "He used to live here. Okay, no more questions. Anyone, tea?"
No reply. Can't believe I'm the only one in the room that drinks tea. What is wrong with these people?
