Oh my gosh!! I can't believe so many people are reading this! I appreciate it so much! I'm sorry my chapters are short but I have some personal things going on in my life that's causing it to be more difficult to write than it normally is, and I apologize for that.

Anyway... back the book!

Usagi's alarm clock went off on his phone the next morning right when it felt like he was finally falling asleep. He reached over and slammed his finger on the snooze button and rolled back over. Because Usagi was denying the inevitable, the alarm clock went off once more soon after.

Usagi felt like he had bags under his eyes... and he did. Now in the restroom, Usagi took in his reflection as he began getting around for work. He tied his long rabbit ears up with a light blue elastic band and combed out the light fluff of hair on his cheeks as well as his bangs. He wore a light blue samurai robe that's V-neck collar shape went down just below a light fluff of hair popping out from his chest. Usagi had a big day ahead of him, and he needed it to go perfectly.

Feeling a light buzz in his pocket, Usagi pulled out his phone revealing a large collection of notifications. Most of them were reminders about the rent agreement for his new apartment, some were from Big Mama about tonight's last big fight he was required to participate in, and the last handful was from Heuso, his boss, telling him to come into work early today. Usagi's eyes drifted to the time in the top right corner of his phone screen.

Usagi practically leaped into the air and scurried as fast as he could and sprinted out his apartment door into the Hidden City.

Crap! Crap! Crap!!! Usagi mentally screamed at himself for pressing the snooze alarm.

With a skidding stop, Usagi finally reached the entrance to Run of the Mill Pizza and took a deep breath to steady himself before walking in.

"I am so sorry I'm late Heuso!" Usagi nearly yelped.

"It's ok, at least you're here now. And since you are, you might as well start cleaning off the tables." Heuso replied, shoving a sopping wet rag into Usagi's rabbit hands.

"Of course!" Usagi replied as cheerfully as he could. Honestly, Usagi absolutely hated this part of the job. Someone would always leave something absolutely disgusting on the table or some kid would stick gum on the bottom of their seat... and guess who had to clean it all off- him.

As the day moved by, Usagi took orders, cooked orders, cleaned tables, and basically almost everything that could possibly be done (Hueso really needed to hire more workers...). Determined to finish early, Usagi was working at top-speed. He needed to get out of this restaurant to fight his final fight in the Battle Nexus and finally be free.

All Usagi wanted was his freedom, and he'd finally get it tonight.

Giddy at the thought, Usagi finally decided to approach his boss about leaving early.

Walking across the restaurant, Usagi catches Hueso cleaning off a plate and gives a light cough to announce his presence.

"Yes?" Hueso asked.

"I was wondering if I could leave early... I have something very important to attend to tonight." Usagi asked confidently, though, due to the look on his boss's face, his confidence was starting to falter.

"When?"

Hueso's expression now unreadable, Usagi stuttered, "Uhm... a-about 7:30 tonight..."

His boss's expression scrunched like Usagi was asking too much of him, but he eventually let out a sigh and replied, "Sure, just make sure you're early again tomorrow."

"Awesome!! Thank you so much!!" Usagi said a little too loudly, feeling the urge to hug his boss but fighting it due to the awkwardness that would likely come soon after.

Happily walking away with a light skip to his step, Usagi had no trouble cooking up a few more pizzas, wiping down a few more tables, and serving a few more people. All he knew was that in a short time he'd be free, and that's all that mattered.

Slowly and surely as the clock ticked by, the time eventually came to 7:15, and Usagi was starting to pack up. At exactly 7:30 he left the restaurant... and then the nerves started to kick in.

"Leonardo," Raph said in a dark and serious tone, "Don't stay out too late now, and come back at no later than 9pm sharp."

"I'll be fine!" Leo shrugged, "You almost act like I've never been outside the sewer alone."

"That's because you haven't, dear brother." Donatello corrects, as always.

"That's besides the point- I'll be fineeee! It's just a little slice of pizza, a phone number, and I'll be back here lickity-split! No biggie!" Using his calm, confident voice Leo watches Raph's tight face loosen a little.

"Ok, ok. Just... be safe, alright?" Raph sighs and puts a hand on Leo's shoulder, reinforcing his statement.

"Of course!" Leo says with a smile, brushing Raph's hand off his shoulder.

With that, Leo raises his katana and slashes it through the air, creating a portal in which he walks through.

"Did no one else hear he was getting that boy's phone number, or was it just me?" Mikey squeaks excitedly.

"Huesooo! Bone man! Hey, can you get me a real fine table up in this joint?" Leo says enthusiastically, wrapping his arm around Hueso's shoulder.

"Sure... if you get your extremely heavy arm off my shoulders." Hueso grumbles. Leo nods and smiles.

"I mean to get your arm off my shoulder now, niño!"

"Oh! Oh, yeah, yeah. Of course, my bad." Leo says, pulling his arm off Hueso and giving a thumbs up.

"Alright, come, follow me to your table." Heuso sighs, leading the way to a smaller table normally fitted for two.

"Can I take your order?" Hueso grumbles once more.

"No, actually." Leo said a little too quickly, causing Hueso to raise a non-existent brow, "What I mean is, um, is there any way that rabbit boy from the other day could take my order..."

With Leo chuckling nervously, Hueso mentally facepalmed.

"He left about 15 minutes ago... so... no."

"What!?" Leo groaned in dismay. Where did he go!? AND WHY?! Leo mentally screamed.

Almost on cue, the small television in the restaurant began blaring the answer to Leo's questions.

"THE GREATEST, THE FASTEST, AND THE BEST THERE'S EVER BEEN! THE UNDEFEATED SAMURAI RABBIT MIYAMOTO USAGI FIGHTS IN FIVE MINUTES IN HIS LAST BATTLE NEXUS AREA FIGHT!!!" The news anchor practically screamed, hyping up the situation. The screen flipped and it showed him. The boy. The rabbit that had been on Leo's mind ever since yesterday night. His name was Miyamoto Usagi.

"OH MY GOSH! LOOK! IT'S HIM!!!"
