~Diana POV~I turn my phone off of airplane mode and I see that I have a missed call. I call it back.
"Hello?" The person on the other end says after the second ring.
"Hey. It's me. I just landed." I say.
"Alright. I'm almost there. Give me five minutes."
"Ok. See you then." I hang up, and decide to call my dad.
"Hello?" He says.
"Hi dad!"
"Hello, darling! I take it you made it safely?"
"Yep. I actually just got off the plane."
"Oh, good. Oh, one sec. Yeah, she made it!" He yells to someone. "... Alright, I will! That was your mother. She says hi and she loves you."
I chuckle at that. "Well, tell her that I say hi and I love her too."
"I will, love. We already miss you."
"Dad, I've only been gone for 6 hours." I laugh. "But I miss you guys too." I feel my phone vibrate. I look down at the screen. "Oh, he's here. Tell everyone else I say hi."
"I will. Oh, before you go, I forgot to mention that I got something for you. It's at your apartment. Let me know when you see it."
"Ok, well, I should go. Love you!"
"Love you too, darling. Bye."
I hang up, put my phone away, grab my bags and suitcase and head for the airport exit. He's already there, leaning on the door of his black Camaro. "Derek!" I say, pulling him in for a hug.
"Hey, kid." He says, hugging me back. When he lets go, he opens the trunk of the car and puts my suitcase in it while I put my other bags in the back seat. "Well..." He says as he closes the trunk and gets in, me following suit. "Welcome to Beacon Hills."

"Need help carrying things up?" Derek asks when we pull into the parking lot and get out of the car.
"Uhhh, no, I don't think so." I say, struggling to get my suitcase through the main door. He raises an eyebrow. "Ugh, fine. Yes."
"Oh, Diana. What would I do without you?" He scoffs, rolling his eyes, smiling slightly, picking up the suitcase.
"Mmm, probably die." I say sarcastically. He frowns. "Oh, come on! You know I'm your favorite." We walk up the stairs.
"I don't know. Hope is kinda up there."
I gasp. "I am offended!" I frown. We stare at each other for a few seconds before laughing and continue walking upstairs. "I am your favorite though, right?"
"Yes." He stops in front of my new apartment door. "Hey, Diana?"
"Yes?"
"Why didn't we just take the elevator?"
"Why are you complaining? You're a wolf, you shouldn't be complaining."
"We're on the top floor." He counters.
"So? It's only four flights of stairs!" I counter back.
"I-... Yeah, that's fair." He then unlocks the door and hands me the keys. "Need help unpacking?"
—————————————————————
"Before I go, Kol wanted me to give you something that he got." Derek says.
"Oh? What is it?"
"Can't tell you that yet. It's outside. C'mon."
"Ok?" I say slowly. We actually take the elevator this time and go outside. "Ok. Where is it?"
"Stay there." He says as he walks over to the garage with my apartment number on it. He opens it and I can't believe my eyes.
"N-No... It can't be! Der, do my eyes deceive me or is that... My bike?!"
It's a black motorcycle with dark green accents. It's an exact replica of the one I had at home in New Orleans, but a fight happened a year ago and it ended up blowing up due to some of my family's enemies. I run up to it and there's a note taped on it.
"So you don't have to rely on Derek every day to get to school. - Love, dad (and mom!)"
"He told me how much you loved your bike, and that when it got destroyed, you were heartbroken, so he asked me to get one for you. He paid for it, of course. He sent me pictures of it, so I knew what to get. Here." He tossed me the keys and I caught them.
"Oh my god! I love you!" I hug him again. I pull out my phone and immediately call my dad. "You did not!" I say after he picks up.
"I did, darling! Do you like it?"
"Like it?" I say quietly. "Like it?!" I say louder. "Like it?!" I yell. "Like it?!?!"
"... Ow." He says after a few seconds.
"Yes, it is adequate. Ok, love you, bye!" I say quickly.
"Alright. You know what you're doing tomorrow?" Derek asks. "Your name and everything?"
"Yep. You would not believe the lengths I had to go through just for Uncle Nik to agree to let me use Caroline's last name. I mean, I already talked to her about it and she was fine with it, but Klaus was like 'no you can't blah blah blah' and we had a big argument about it. He finally said yes, though."
"You actually got Klaus to agree to something?"
"Yeah. I called Caroline and she talked to him afterwards and then he agreed, finally."
"I'm more surprised Klaus agreed to something."
"Yeah, me too. Anyways, just call me if you need werewolf help."
"Alright. See ya, kid." I watch him drive away and then go up to my new apartment. I have to get used to calling it "mine".

And that's it for chapter one! A little shorter than what I'm used to, but that's ok. I'm really excited for this, and I really hope you guys enjoy this. Also, please, tell me what you think!
