Imagine: Gabriel being y/n's older brothers best friend and treating her like a pest

Y/n had been having a terrible time because her bf broke up with her because she is "too fat"
It's painful because she did care about him and he shot her in the heart
Y/OB/N and his best friend Gabriel came in the house after going out with some of their other friends while y/n was taking some melatonin so she could sleep properly because she was staying up at night
"Hey y/n this is for you" y/ob/n said placing some food on the counter
"Thanks" y/n said downing the melatonin with some water, "god y/n you have a pouch" Gabriel joked
Y/n had tears welling up but she bit her tongue, y/ob/n slapped him on the chest she just took the food and walked away going back to her room
Gabriel and y/ob/n went to go play video games in his room
A few days later
Gabriel's POV
I was laughing with my friends while we were on our break from class, y/ob/n wasn't in school today he hasn't been for days for some other reasons
"Yeah I do feel bad for y/ob/n though" one of my friends said
"Why?" I asked drinking my water "well given everything that happened to y/n you can tell he's worried about her, it's sweet that he cares my brother would throw a pillow at me and tell me to get over it" one of our girl friends said
I was confused, "what happened?" I asked "y/n's boyfriend dumped her because in his words "she's too fat for me" one of my friends said rolling his eyes "what a pig" "gross" "the trash took itself out"
I felt terrible as I recalled what I had said to her a couple of days ago, I'm an idiot
Later On
I decided to apologize to her, I was out of line and I knew that
I went and rang the door bell, y/n opened it "y/ob/n isn't here" she said
"I know but I'm not here to see him" I said honestly, y/n rolled her eyes "don't pretend you care" y/n said about to close the door in my face
"Y/n wait please" I said holding the door open
"What Gabriel?" Y/n said "I'm sorry about what I said a few days ago, I really like you that wasn't what I meant" I said honestly
Y/n opened the door and let me in
I had food and some flowers
I put the stuff down, and gave her a hug "I know you need time to heal but when your ready I'll be there" I said
"Can we start now?" Y/n asked and I smiled and said yes
We ate the food and watched a movie, y/ob/n came back and spotted us on the couch together "you hurt her I kill you Guevara" he said warning me
"I know and I don't plan on it" I said letting her sleep on my chest
