Explanation: I know this ones weird one to make a one shot of, but for whatever reason, I felt the need to make it. I feel like Furfur and Shax ended up being kinda like best friends, especially since they had their little moment together in S2 E6. I also for some reason firmly believe that Shax would be a complete maximalist. Obviously, no romance here, but have an interesting scene I've painted in my head!
__________Shax had been walking from reporting to Beelzebub to the escalators back up to Earth. She didn't overly enjoy going up there, but she hated being in hell more, so she just got over it. As she walked down one of the many hallways, she stopped in front of one of the office doors. She glared at it for a moment, then decided to open it and enter. Inside was a cluttered and messy office space, full of nothing but files, news papers, and a large assortment of temptation reports. In the center of this room, sat a desk with a monitor that was transparent enough to see through it. Shax approached the desk, looking through the monitor to find a very familiar and bored looking demon.
"Hello, Furfur." Shax greeted the demon, nothing but spite rolling off her tongue. The demon previously referred to as Furfur looked up towards Shax under his very hairy eyebrows, then lifted his face to be parallel with hers.
"Shax, what a surprise..." he sneered back. "Should've known it was you, you're the only one who ever wastes their time in this dump." Furfur grabbed the mug of hell fire beside the monitor and took a long and slow sip as he kept working.
"Just wanted to... make sure you're fulfilling your punishment... from when you had embarrassed yourself in front of the council." Shax snarked at the other demon. Furfur scoffed, standing up to stretch for a moment. He grabbed his mug and went over to a small table piled with files along the wall and leaned on it.
"And here I was starting to think you missed me~" It was dark, but Shax could spot the smirk he had on his stupid face as he stared at her, taking another long sip of that burning flame. Shax almost turned around and left, but opted to stay instead. She was bored up on earth, since all of the humans were so good at being much more sinful than she could've ever imagined."Actually, I was thinking-" she slowly approached the other demon, catching him off guard. "Would you, perhaps, want to try a bit of temptation... on earth?" Furfur nearly choked on the fire that was halfway down his throat, causing him to cough and wheeze.
"WH-WHAT?!" He slammed the mug on the table next to him, his eyes were wide at the offer the other demon had just put out there. Shax blinked a few times, surprised at the demons sudden outburst. He cleared his throat, hitting his chest a couple of times to make sure the fire went down completely
"Wh-what kind of... temptation, were you thinking about?" He had a look of worry to him, quickly looking Shax up and down in a slight disgust. She gave him a look of shock as she clutched her hand to her chest, like as if what he had said offended her.
"Well DEFINITELY not the kind you were thinking of, that's for sure, pervert!" Furfur sighed in relief, grabbing his mug again. He moved from the table and shut off the monitor, making the room somehow even darker than it already was."Then, I suppose I have no real choice other than to give in, ey?" Shax smirked, tilting her head to direct the other demon to follow.
__________
Once they made it to Shax's flat, she took off into the direction of the kitchen and kicked off her heels on the way. Furfur took a deep breathe in as he watched her scurry off, taking in the cluttered and brightly colored room around him. He was so used to the rotting smell of hell, the Earths air almost suffocated the demon. It felt so much clearer, and he could sense so many different thing in different places. When entering Shax apartment though, he could only smell one thing. It was similar to the smell of Hell, but lighter, with a hint of some sort of floral scent he couldn't quite place. He looked around that first initial room, everything decorated floor to ceiling with bright and colorful junk. He remembered this specific kind of style being something quite a few demons and human souls in hell enjoyed; called maximalism. He started to question what made the difference between that and being a hoarder, but just shrugged it off.
