Chapter 6

During lunch, James, Leia, Briana Jared, Watson, and Ian are sitting outside when Linda starts walking up to them

Leia: So, want to continue the rest of the story? Linda: Howdy. Briana: Hi!

A police officer starts walking up to Linda

Linda: What are you guys up t- Officer: Excuse me, Ms. Quintero, Linda Quintero?

Linda looks back and is surprised to see an officer

James: Uh oh. Linda what did you do?

Unbeknownst to everyone, including Linda, the officer is not a real officer, but Johnny disguised as one

Linda: I'm sorry, can I help you? Johnny: We have word from wit-sec. We need to move, urgently, your life is in danger!

James is put on alert

Jared: Whoa! Danger?

Everyone around them starts looking at Linda, wondering what's happening

Linda starts saying a code phrase

Linda: In the light of dawn- Johnny: No time, they're coming!

Johnny starts pulling Linda

Briana: Oh my gosh, what's happening? Ian: Where's he taking her?

James starts looking closely

Linda: Wait hold on! In the light of dawn! Johnny: We have to move!

Linda realizes that he's not a real police officer sent by witness protection, but someone sent by the people she's running from

She starts to attempt to break away

James notices

James: Oh no... Leia: What? James: Remember how I told you she had cameras outside her house? Leia: Yeah? James: I think I know why now. She's being kidnapped.

James runs after them

Johnny drags Linda to the car and she sees Will

Will: Hello Katie, remember me?

Linda starts screaming as she's thrown into the car

As they're driving away, they spot James running after them and start driving off

James tries keeping up but eventually loses them but not before catching the license plate

Linda is gone

James: No!

James gets back to his friends

Ian: What happened, did you catch them? James: No, they were too fast! Leia: So she's gone? James: Not for long! Call the police.

Later they are talking to the police

Officer: So the kidnapping victim is Linda Quintero, 13 years old, taken by a Bravo Mike. James: Yeah, I managed to catch the plate and vehicle model. It was a Ford Taurus, I'd say 1994. License plate number 2WLH65. Officer: Okay. You mentioned she's in witness protection. James: That's what the fake officer told her, that he was sent by wit-sec and that whoever she's running from is coming from her. Officer: Okay. I'll run this through the data base. We'll take care of it and get your friend back. James: Thank you.
