Rust (Off/Gun)

"Give it to me!" The short boy yelled at his brother.

"No!" The taller boy yelled back, running away from his sibling. 

"I found it! It's mine!" The short boy huffed as he chased his younger brother around the sofa.

"I want to look too!" The boy squeezed the metal object into his chest. The other lad quickly jumped over the sofa, grabbing the rusty box and pulling at it to get it out of his brother's hold. The hasty steps approached them. 

"What are you two doing?!" The deep voice stopped their argument. The siblings looked at the tall man standing in the doorway. 

"Nothing, papa." The short boy blinked innocently at him. 

"Chimon Adulkittiporn, don't lie to me. Were you two fighting?" Off crossed his arms in front of his chest, waiting for an answer. 

"Playing?" The other boy said. 

"Win Adulkittiporn, are you lying to your papa too?" Off's eyebrow raised in question. The boys shook their heads but stayed silent. Another set of footsteps echoed through the house, and soon, the short male appeared beside Off.

"What's going on here?" Gun asked, eying his children and husband suspiciously. 

"Our kids were fighting. But they don't want to tell me why." Off turned to his husband. The short man glanced at his children. His eyes went wide when he spotted a familiar box. Quickly, Gun approached Chimon and Win, pulling the object from his son's hands. He turned around, showing it to his husband. 

"Is this our memory box?" Off gasped. Gun nodded, smiling. 

"Papa? What is a memory box?" Win asked. 

"Tell us, dada. Please." Chimon joined, tugging at Gun's sleeve. 

"Will you promise not to fight again?" Gun raised his eyebrow.

"We won't." The kids answered.

"Good. Sit on the sofa. Papa and dada will tell you the story behind this box." Gun showed the two boys on the couch, plopping next to them, waiting for his husband to join before the storytelling time began.
